The Hastings County Planning Committee will be considering the OPA No. 18 during its regular meeting at the County of Hastings Administration Office, 235 Pinnacle Street, Belleville, Ontario K8N 3A9, 3”’Floor, County Council Chambers. The meeting starts at 9:30 am on March 19"‘, 2019. The purpose of Official Plan Amendment No. 18 is to amend the designation of the Subject lands from “Rural” to the “Extractive (Active)” designation pertaining to approximately 33.3 hectares (82.3 acres) located in Part of Lots 51 and 52 of Concession WHR ofthe Township ofFaraday. Please refer to the accompanying key map. The effect of the Amendment will permit the establishment of a Class A, Category 2 (below water) quarry under the Aggregate Resource Act. If you have NOT provided written or oral comments already or if you wish to provided additional comments please note the following: IF A PERSON OR PUBLIC BODY would otherwise have an ability to appeal the decision of the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing to the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal but the person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or make written submissions to the County of Hastings before the proposed Official Plan Amendment No. 18 is adopted, the person or public body is not entitled to appeal the decision. IF A PERSON OR PUBLIC BODY does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or make written submissions to the County of Hastings before the proposed Official Plan Amendment No. 18 is adopted, the person or public body may not be added as a party to the hearing of an appeal before the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal unless, in the opinion ofthe Tribunal, there are reasonable grounds to add the person or public body as a party.
