List of Dgca Empanelled Civil Class 1 Initial Hospital LIST OF DGCA EMPANELLED CIVIL CLASS 1 INITIAL HOSPITAL, CLASS 1 AIR FORCE MEDICAL EXAMINATION CENTRES, IAF BOARDING CENTRES AND DGCA EMPANELLED CLASS 1 EXAMINERS (Updated as on 29 June 2021) SALIENT POINTS TO REMEMBER PRIOR TO SEEKING APPOINTMENT FOR CLASS 1 MEDICAL EXAMINATION 1. What medical do you need to undergo. Check whether the intended medical is an initial or a renewal medical. (a) Initial Medical. Initial medical is done when a person with a valid Class 2 medical applies for the first time for a Class 1 Medical (a requirement for commercial license). Also, in case the last medical date (Class 1) is more than two years old, a fresh initial (Re-initial) Class 1 medical is to be conducted only at any of the IAF Boarding Centers (IAM/ AFCME/ MEC(E)/ 11 Air Force Hospital (11 AFH)/ Command Hospital Air Force Bangalore (CHAF’B’)/ 7 Air Force Hospital (7 AFH), along with approved NOC by Medical Dte, DGCA (see below Para 4). (b) Renewal Medical. Class 1 Medical Assessments are valid for one year for persons less than 60 yrs. of age in Multi crew commercial Air Transport Operations or six months for persons above 40 yrs of age in Single crew commercial air transport operations. In this regard, please refer Para 5 of CAR 7 Series C Part I Issue II dated 12/10/17 (Revision 5, 5th Apr 21). The renewal medical may be done anytime from one month before date of expiry of validity of Medical Assessment to the date of expiry of validity. If done earlier or later than that, an NOC is required. Renewal Class 1 medical may be done after expiry of validity of previous (but not beyond two years since date of last medical) along with NOC. The NOC form available in Procedure & training Manual, available on DGCA websites (dgca.gov.in) as Annexure ‘D’. Applications for NOC are only to be made after obtaining a confirmed date of appointment from DGCA. Renewal medical exam is conducted at any of the Air Force Medical Examination Centre and by DGCA empanelled Class 1 Examiners (list below). (c) Renewals mandatory at IAM/ AFCME/ MEC(E)/ 11 Air Force Hospital (11 AFH)/ Command Hospital Air Force Bangalore (CHAF’B’)/ 7 Air Force Hospital (7 AFH) – In this regard, please refer Para 3.1.1 of CAR 7 Series C Part I Issue II dated 12/10/17 (Revision 5, 5th Apr 21). 2. Appointment & Previous Medical Record (PMR) Forwarding. (a) IAF Centres. After ascertaining type of medical, kindly seek appointment well in advance keeping in view the time required for grant of appointments and PMR forwarding from DGCA. The procedure for seeking appointment can be accesses in the DGCA website (http://dgca.gov.in) under the Personnel/ Medical Cont’d….. (b) Civil Centres & Class 1 Examiners. For Civil Hospitals (Initial Medicals) and Class 1 Examiners (Renewal Medicals), kindly contact the centres/ examiners directly at the addresses given below. PMR forwarding is not required for Class 1 initial medicals which are to be conducted at Nanavati Hospital (Mumbai)/ Apollo Hospital (Chennai)/ by Class 1 Medical Examiners/ at Air Force Medical Examination Centres {except IAM/AFCME/ MEC(E) / 11 AFH/ CHAF’B’/ 7AFH}. 3. PMR Status Query. PMR files are forwarded to IAF Centres 2-3 weeks prior to date of appointment (even if applications are received early).For any queries regarding PMR file no., its status and its assessment, any correction or updating any address/details/name - it is kindly requested to contact on below mentioned contact no. of SO Medical Cell (DGCA HQ) 01124622500 Extn 453/ 526 OR You can visit OR can authorize any of your rep. to collect your Medical Assessment on Public Days from Med Dte at DGCA i.e Wednesday & Thursday between 1400h to 1730h.     CLASS-I MEDICAL EXAMINATION CENTRES & CLASS 1 EXAMINERS (Updated as on 19 SEP 19) SALIENT POINTS TO REMEMBER PRIOR TO SEEKING APPOINTMENT FOR CLASS 1 MEDICAL EXAMINATION 1. What medical do you need to undergo. Check whether the intended medical is an initial or a renewal medical. (a) Initial Medical. Initial medical is done when a person with a valid Class 2 medical applies for the first time for a Class 1 Medical (a requirement for commercial license). Also, in case the last medical date (Class 1) is more than two years old, a fresh initial (Re-initial) Class 1 medical is to be conducted only at Air Force Medical Boarding centers, along with approved NOC by Medical Cell, DGCA (see below Para 5). (b) Renewal Medical. Class 1 Medical Assessments are valid for one year for persons less than 60 yrs. of age in Multi crew commercial Air Transport Operations or six months for persons above 40 yrs of age in Single crew commercial air transport operations. The renewal medical may be done anytime from one month before date of expiry of validity of Medical Assessment to the date of expiry of validity. If done earlier or later than that, an NOC is required. Renewal Class 1 medical may be done after expiry of validity of previous (but not beyond two years since date of last medical) along with NOC. The NOC form available in Procedure & training Manual, available on DGCA websites Annexure ‘D’ to be filled completely. Applications for NOC are to be made after obtaining confirmed appointment and to be sent along with Last Valid Medical Assessment, issued by DGCA.

Training Grading and Classification Rules issued vide DGAFMS Office letter No. 3741/ DGAFMS/ DG-1D dated 28 Mar 2005 have been reviewed, revised and updated. These TGC Rules will be applicable to all AMC Officers including those seconded to the Navy, Air Force and those deputed to/ sponsored from Assam Rifles, Border Roads, DRDO, Paramilitary organizations etc. 2. These rules supersede all previous instructions on the subject and will take effect from 01 Jun 2006, unless stated otherwise along with the concerned rule. These rules shall not be amended or revised for next 5 years unless absolutely necessary to ensure stability. List of Specialities 3. The Broad/Allied Specialities in the Armed Forces Medical Services for which these rules apply are given at Appendix A. The nomenclature of the specialities conforms to that of Medical Council of India (MCI)/ National Board of Examinations as per latest information available. Definition 4. The following definitions will apply in context to these rules :- (a) Graded Specialists (i) Officers detailed by Dte Gen of Armed Forces Medical Services and have successfully completed the Advanced Specialist Course at Armed Forces Medical College, Institute of Aviation Medicine, Institute of Naval Medicine or any other service institute as detailed by the DGAFMS in any of the specialities. (ii) Officers at the time of Commission possess or thereafter acquire a recognized Post Graduate Degree (Medical Council of India (MCI)/ 1 National Board of Examination (NBE)) without being detailed for Advance Course would be eligible to be graded after observation by Senior Adviser for a period of 12 weeks and if accepted by the Medical Services Advisory Committee (MSAC).
