Many years have passed and this is still quite possibly my favourite trance album of them all. Every track on this is beautiful and unique. The album starts out with the beautifully chilled out title track "Tri-State", It really sets the tone of the album and prepares us for what's to come. "Stealing Time" features the vocals of Richard Bedford, a really nice and laid back vocal track. "World on Fire" follows and is more bass driven. It is quite a groovy affair with some nice vocal choppings. "Air for Life", one of the bigger titles on the album, featuring Andy Moor. Similarly to the previous track, it is more bass driven with a thumping uplifting beat that makes you want to get up and dance. One of my personal favourites. "Can't Sleep", another big title on the album, features the beautiful vocals of Ashley Tomberlin. This one is a lot more chilled than the previous track, and wow is it amazing. The vocals are just stunning, and I can feel the emotion that went into this song. Another highlight of the album. "Hope" is another more laid back affair. I would compare it to Prelude from their Group Therapy album. Any fans of that tune, will also like this tune. I really love the African sounding vocal choppings in this song, it really takes you on a journey. It makes you want to close your eyes and imagine the sheer beauty of Africa. "Liquid Love", another track featuring Richard Bedford's vocals. A great vocal track with a nice melody. Another of my personal favourites. "In the Past" is a short and sweet chillout track. Mostly just filler, but still a nice listen. "Alone Tonight", one of the more well known tracks, also featuring Richard Bedford. It has a strong uplifting melody that makes you want to dance with the beat. "Good for Me" is quite a stark contrast to the last song, and is more chilled. It features the heavenly vocals of Zoe Johnston. This song holds the 'moment' of the album for me. When I first heard it, time stood still and I was in sheer awe of the beauty of it. Such a beautiful song. "For All I Care" is a pretty interesting track. Quite different from the rest, it is more bass driven, and has a somewhat groovy feel to it. The vocals are now permanently embedded in my head, too. 'Hey, you, for all I care!' "Indonesia" is more melody driven, and takes you on a journey. I find this one to be a grower, personally, and found myself loving it only after several listens. "Home", the last track featuring the vocals of Hannah Thomas, is a more chilled out affair. A really nice emotional track to close off the album. All in all, this album is flawless, and any trance fan should check it out. I think this is also a pretty good starting point for anyone looking to check out trance, as all the songs are different from each other.
