Matt Papa - The Glory of God Written by Matt Papa and Kelby Dover Bloodgood

Veterans of both the heavy metal and scenes, Bloodgood’s unique blend of music and message has amassed both a fan base that appreciates their music, as well as a body that loves God. Bloodgood has always led with our own unique style of hard charging heavy metal rock as our way of connecting with our fans.

But very quickly, the power and impact of the message comes through. Bloodgood has stayed true to not using their influence to spread their own agenda, but instead, God’s agenda.

The Choir has found a resurgent fan base populated with long- time fans, many of whom have literally grown up listening to the band’s catalog. The Choir’s music has been described by the Los Angeles Times as “magical songs that combine strains of murky psychedelia with pure pop”. Billboard praised the band for its “dark poetic leanings, effects-laden guitars and strong melodic hooks.” 3 In the same 3 In The Same are Soldiers for Christ and their sole purpose is to serve the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Matt Papa

Matt Papa is as likely to quote G.K. Chesterton in casual conversation as he is to describe himself as a “weird dude.” He is a delightful combination of gifted musician and songwriter, loving husband, father of three girls, and inquisitive theologian. And with all those roles and attributes, he remains ever-focused on a singular goal: help people see the beauty and glory of Jesus.

Even the title of Papa’s latest album, Look & Live, indicates how his evangelistic desire is undergirded by a love of scripture. The first atmospheric piano notes of “All for Your Glory” commence the tale of creation, the fall of man, and, ultimate- ly, God’s victory and our enduring purpose. Papa masterfully composes grand precepts in dramatic and emotional terms.
