With 17kms of pristine coastline, more than 300 parks and reserves, an award-winning marina, some of Perth’s best beaches and leading retail destinations, there is something for everyone in the City of Joondalup. The City also boasts a range of cultural spaces including galleries, exhibition spaces, performing arts spaces and studios for lease, rent or hire. This guide has been developed as a starting point to help you find the space you are looking for. Please note some of the venues contained in this database are privately owned and operated and further information will need to be obtained directly with the venue. For further information visit the City’s website at joondalup.wa.gov.au 1 Cultural Sites Luisini Winery The Luisini Winery site consists of the surviving 1929 Lakeway Drive, Kingsley concrete block with corrugated galvanised roof, winery building, other structures and features associated with Private the former operation of the winery, together with the remaining introduced vegetation, natural vegetation and landscape. The site is a listed heritage site and is managed by the National Trust. Duffy House Also known colloquially as ‘Frederick Duffy House’ or 108 Duffy Terrace, Woodvale ‘Jack Duffy House’, this site located in Woodvale, comprising a single storey iron, brick and limestone City of Joondalup Venue Cottage (1911-1913), and a ruinous limestone Dairy Building (1925) sits in an open rural setting between Beenyup Swamp and Lake Goollelal. It has cultural heritage significance because it is representative of the development of the market gardening and dairying industries in Western Australia in the early 20th century and it retains much of its original open wetland setting within Yellagonga Regional Park. Hillarys Boat Harbour Since opening in 1988, Hillarys Boat Harbour has been 86 Southside Drive, Hillarys Perth’s Premier Recreational Destination – offering a wide range of unique experiences appealing to WA residents and overseas visitors alike. The iconic Western Australian property is home to the elite Hillarys Yacht Club; AQWA – The Aquarium of Western Australia; a bustling retail shopping precinct and a wide range of beautifully groomed public parklands. 10 Whitford Nodes Hillarys Beach Park is being transformed into the Whitfords Nodes Health and Wellbeing Hub. Recently the Whitfords Avenue, Hillarys City has completed the first stage of construction. These works include a large shaded public playground for the enjoyment of children aged between two and 12 years old, undercover picnic settings, benches and barbecues, new tree planting, an improved irrigation system, drink fountains and universal access footpaths. The playground includes swings, combination and climbing units, nature play elements, sand play and all-abilities play. Central Park Central Park contains nearly six hectares of remnant bushland and public parklands comprising well-lit 187 Grand Boulevard Joondalup pathways and paved areas, grassed open spaces, limestone walls, lakes and water features. A lengthy boardwalk runs along the end of the pond from Grand Boulevard to the North Metropolitan TAFE campus.
