    Outdoor Track and Field DIVISION I MEN’S Highlights Texas A&M sweeps team titles; men, women each win 1,600-meter relay title to clinch third straight team crowns: Texas A&M swept the men’s and women’s titles at the NCAA outdoor championships June 11, becoming the fi rst school to post dual three-peat champions. The men needed to win the 1,600-meter relay for their third straight crown, and anchor Tabarie Henry held off LSU’s Riker Hylton to clinch the victory in 3:00.62. The Aggies fi nished with 55 points, one ahead of Florida State and two ahead of Florida. Florida State built a nine-point lead early on the fi nal day as the Seminoles won the 400-meter relay. Ngonidzashe Makusha, 100-meter and long-jump champion, ran the second leg of the relay and helped contribute 22-1/2 points to Florida State’s team total for the meet. “I’m loving it. It’s been a good weekend,” Makusha said. But the Seminoles didn’t make the 1,600-meter relay fi nal, which came back to haunt them. Florida, which won the 400-meter relay a year ago, botched an exchange and failed to fi nish a race it was expected to score in. But a pair of Gators made up for that in the triple jump. Christian Taylor won the event with a leap of 58 feet, 4-3/4 inches, which would have shattered the meet record of 57 feet, 7-3/4 inches had it not been wind-aided.
