Those first four days, the first two periods of practice will be open for filming. On Dec. 29 (regular Monday), requested defensive players (only those who will not be at the defensive press conference) along INFORMATION with defensive assistants will be available for 10 minutes before practice at Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale. On Jan. 1 (regular Thursday), it will be the same procedure as Dec. 29, just with the offense. Requests for the players and coaches for the respective day must be emailed to Bryan Johnston ([email protected]) the night before by 9 p.m. On Dec. 30 and 31, the first two periods of practice will be open to the media and Coach Beamer will talk to the media in that time, but no other interviews will take place at the field. Check the schedule for practice times. Media members are encouraged to arrive early in case the team does, allowing more interview time. Media members must remain on the sidelines once practice begins. Following the first 15 minutes, practice will be closed. Any questions regarding practice or interview policies can be made by contacting Dave Smith (email: vtsid@ vt.edu) or Bryan Johnston (email: [email protected]). Members of the team will NOT be available for interviews via phone or at the team hotel. First two periods open for filming with Beamer interview during that time; No players or assistants The Virginia Tech football players and travel squad will travel via charter plane and convene in Miami on Tuesday, Dec. 28. While in Miami, the Hokies will be headquartered at the Westin Diplomat Spa & Friday, December 31 (regular Wednesday) Resort in Hollywood and will practice on the campus of Nova Southeastern University. Practice at 4:30 p.m. - Nova Southeastern Univ. The team will return home on the morning of Jan. 4. Continue approximately ½ mile and turn right into the North entrance of the campus (this is Ray Ferrero, Jr. Blvd.) and the fields are on the left.
