16 ZagrebTIMES THURSDAY / 29 JUNE / 2017 BRITANAC Unique antiques MARKO TODOROV/HANZA MEDIA TODOROV/HANZA MARKO in the city center Britanski trg (British 8Square) in Zagreb is, of course, named after the British and the good rela- tions they had with Croats throughout history. It can easily be reached from the capital’s main square, Trg bana Jelacica, by ten min- ute walk, or by simply tak- ing two stops with a tram. If you choose the latter, get on a 1, 6 or 11 tram heading east. The square is often bypassed by tourist guides, usually be- cause it lacks cultural fea- tures such as monuments or statues. However, it is still a charming place which has many things for visitors to enjoy. After all, experiencing a country doesn’t necessary mean one has to run around museums and frantically snap photos.
