Surprise! Each year, John Lee hosts this group of longtime friends (and longtime Members) to celebrate their collective May and June birthdays. With John celebrating a milestone 70th this year, the others decided to turn the tables and surprise John by honoring him at the Islander on May 18. Vince Kent, Tom Flanagan and Bill Stover surprised John with a Legends Invitational Wine cake, made by the Club’s Chef Santiago Puga and delivered in a wooden crate. There were probably quite a few jokes made about being “Vintage.” Happy Birthday John, (and Vince and Tom and Bill).
