The beneficiaries need to pay only Rs. 15 per year. • On June 2,2018, The government of Andhra Pradesh has launched a Zero Based Natural Farming (ZBNF) scheme for benefitting the farmers by 2024.MOU was signed between the state’s agriculture department and Sustainable India Finance Facility (SIFF).The investment for the ZBNF scheme is Rs. 16,134 crores over the next 6 years. • On June 22,2018 Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister, N Chandrababu Naidu laid the foundation for icon tower in Amaravati.It is to be constructed by Andhra Pradesh Non-Resident Telugus (AP NRT) society at Rayapudi village, will become a center for many NRT owned IT industries. Assam • On June 12, 2018, The Assam government announced the launch of an awareness campaign called ‘Sanskar’.This was taken by high level meeting chaired by the chief minister of Assam Mr. Sarbananda Sonowal.Social activist Birubala Rabha, who has been tirelessly fighting against witch-hunting, will also be involved . • On June 26,2018, Union Minister for Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER) Jitendra Singh announced that centre has released Rs 340 crore to Assam.Out of Rs.340 crore, Rs 101 crore was released by the DoNER and Rs 239 crore was given by the home ministry under the State Disaster Relief Fund (SDRF) account. Bihar • On June 6, 2018, the state government of Bihar launched new crop insurance scheme . This decision was taken by a meeting chaired by the Chief Minister Mr. Nitish Kumar.The name of the scheme is : ‘Bihar State Crop Assistance scheme’.
