April 8, 2016 (Pembroke, ON.) Canadian Recording Artist Jason Blaine is ready to rock his hometown again this year with two of ’s top performers joining him on the stage at his Charity Concert in Pembroke. Blaine has announced Dallas Smith and Jason McCoy, as his special celebrity guests for his concert fundraiser on June 14. The two artists will also participate in day two of the charity event, an 18-hole golf tournament held at the Pembroke Golf Club on June 15th.

“I am thrilled to have two very good friends and incredible artists participating in our third annual charity concert and golf tournament,” says Blaine. “Dallas and Jason are both Juno & CCMA award winners with multiple #1 hit songs and are considered among the best country artists our country has ever produced. They are amazing musicians and it is a real treat to have them both on the line-up”, adds Blaine.

Dallas Smith has had several hit songs including “Tippin Point” and “Wastin Gas,” and his album, “Lifted” won both a Juno and Canadian County Music Award. In 2014, Smith became the first Canadian artist to have nine singles reach the Canadian radio top ten as he exploded onto the Canadian country music scene following a successful career as the front man for the hit rock band, Default.

Jason McCoy, also the lead singer of the Juno & CCMA award-winning band The Road Hammers, has also had several Gold and Platinum selling singles and records, including “I’m A Road Hammer”, “Mud” and “Get on Down the Road.” During his musical career, McCoy has received many awards including the coveted Global Artist Award presented in Nashville in 2006 by the Country Music Association. He was also named Male Vocalist of the Year by the Canadian County Music Association in 2001

Jason Blaine established his own charity in an effort to give back to his home town by raising money for worthy causes. In the first two years, the charity has handed out more than $125,000 to various organizations, including the Pembroke Regional Hospital MRI campaign in 2015.

The benefactors of the 2016 concert and golf tournament are Algonquin College’s Waterfront Campus in Pembroke, the Pembroke and Area Boys’ and Girls’ Club and local foodbanks. For the second year in a row, $5,000 will also be set aside to support not-for-profit groups in accessing Mental Health First Aid training for their staff and volunteers.

“Even though I now live in Nashville, my heart remains in the Ottawa Valley,” says Blaine. “It is very satisfying and rewarding to be able to bring top acts to my hometown and to raise money for organizations that are doing great work, but need additional funds to be even more successful,” says Blaine.

A limited number of tickets to the concert will be made available to the public at a later date. Local businesses that want to be part of the event can purchase a sponsorship, however they are also limited as many have already been secured.
