Supports to Communities and Society

As a responsible corporate citizen, we have been supporting and encouraging medical personnel and people affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. Social contributions through our facilities worldwide include;

Brazil  Indorama Ventures Polimeros, a PET facility in Ipojuca, Brazil, fulfilled 185 sets of basic food and hygiene boxes during the next 3 months for fisherman families affected by fishing market closure in order to survive and secure hygienic well-being for their families during the outbreak.

Canada  Indorama Ventures PTA Montréal in Canada donated an amount of US$25,000, distributed to various organizations which are members of the ROCAJQ (Regroupement des Organismes Communautaires Autonomes Jeunesses), a community supporting youth in need across Montréal and the province of Québec. In this Covid-19 crisis, the donation will be used to provide food, hygiene kits, protection for street worker, assistance for mental health and support for families where both parents have lost their job. With 67 organizations in the ROCAJQ group, this aid will reach over 300,000 youth throughout the year.

Czech Republic  Glanzstoff Bohemia, a high-quality manufacturer, based in Lovosice, the Czech Republic, donated 2,000 face masks to hospitals and communities in surrounding area. The company also donated 450 face masks to hospitals and Fire Brigade in Litoměřice City and Municipality in Lovosice.  Glanzstoff Bohemia contributed to Covid-19 prevention efforts in Lovosice, the Czech Republic at Litoměřice Hospital. The company donated 1 million CZK (41,090 USD) for the purchase of medical instruments and other means to prevent the spread of Covid-19 to Litoměřice Hospital.

Egypt  IVL Dhunseri Company S.A.E in Egypt has supplied PET resin for the manufacture of face shields made by PET for Packaging. The company distribute 500 face shields to major hospitals in the Suez Governorate to reduce the risk of infection for medical personnel and patients.

France  Glanzstoff Longlaville in , a manufacturer of durable technical textiles for tire reinforcements. It donated 3,500 hygiene masks to hospitals, local fire stations and nursing homes in the surrounding area.

Germany  PHP GmbH, a manufacturer of Nylon in Germany supported 1,500 respirators to the District Administrator of Miltenberg to support the shortage of medical supplies needed for the senior citizens and nursing homes in the district.  Trevira GmbH in Germany donated an amount of €11,556 (US$12,945) to five charities in Guben (Brandenburg) and Bobingen (Bavaria), the homes of two Trevira sites. These donations will reach various communities affected by Covid-19 such as the unemployed, youth, low-income families, cultural centers and food banks.

India  Indorama Ventures Oxides Ankleshwar, an oxide and derivatives facility in India, distributed a total of 150 food and other necessary items sets to refugees in Sanjali village.  IVL Dhunseri Petrochem Industries Pvt. Ltd, a PET facility in India, donated 50 boxes of face shields to Haldia Sub-Divisional Government Hospital. It also supported 550 sanitizer bottles and 4,000 nose masks to development authority and residents of Haldia. Moreover, it also donated 500,000 INR to Chief Minister's Relief Funds of West Bengal and Haryana.

Lithuania  UAB Orion Global PET, a PET facility in Klaipeda, Lithuania, supported hospitals and associations by donating 10,000 pairs of gloves; 1,000 shoe covers and 500 respirators to Klaipeda Children Hospital and Klaipeda City Hospital as well as financially supporting the Klaipeda Industrialist Association’s fund for purchasing medical items.

Mexico  Indorama Ventures Mexico, S. de R.L. de C.V., Indorama Ventures EcoMex, S. de R.L. de C.V. and Performance Fibers Operations Mexico S. de R.L. de C.V. donated medical equipment to the Mexican Institute of Social Security, a governmental organization that assists public health in Mexico. The equipment includes a vital sign monitor, 8 respirators, 4 pulse oximeters, 10 traps for bronchial secretion and 3 stethoscopes.

Poland  Indorama Ventures , a PET facility in Wloclawek, Poland, gave financial support to local hospitals for purchasing medicine and medical equipment.

Thailand  Indorama Ventures Public Company Limited handed over 40 sets of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to medical personnel of Ramathibodi Hospital and Bamrasnaradura Infectious Diseases Institute. The company also handed over hygiene necessities including 70 liters of liquid soap and shampoo, 500 nano-zinc fabric masks and 30 liters of hand-cleaning gel alcohol to medical personnel and staff at Ramathibodi Hospital, Siriraj Hospital, Chulalongkorn Hospital, Thammasat University Hospital and Bamrasnaradura Infectious Diseases Institute.  IVL Foundation donated two million Baht in support of COVID-19 medical treatment to the Ramathibodi Foundation and King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital. The Foundation also donated 500,000 Baht to support Duang Prateep Foundation’s operations on helping the well-being of the Klong Toei community and unemployed people over 300 families who affected caused by the COVID-19 outbreak. In collaboration with Indorama Ventures companies in Lopburi, the Foundation provided sets of essential supplies for 300 families in Tha Klong Subdistrict to alleviate difficulties they face due to the economic impact of the COVID-19 outbreak.  Indorama Polyester Industries PCL (Nakhon Pathom), the fibers and PET recycling facilities located in , led by volunteer employees, contributed to surrounding communities by disinfecting residential areas, bus stops, roads and footbridges. The company also handed over dry food, water, masks and hand sanitizers to police officers at Nakhon Chaisri police station and Nakhon Pathom provincial police station.  TPT PCL, an Indorama Ventures company in Thailand, handed over to Nern Pra Health Promoting Hospital, Queen Sirikit Hospital, Nikhom Phatthana Hospital, and Ban Khai Hospital 240 liters of Iso Propanol Alcohol (IPA), used for producing hand gel sanitizers which need minimum 70% alcohol content for disinfecting and cleaning.  TPT Petrochemicals PCL, Indorama Petrochem Limited (PTA) and Indorama Polyester Industries PCL (Rayong) donated 170 wipes, 200 leg covers, and 300 fabric masks to Banchang Hospital and supported employment through Maptaphut Municipality by ordering 8,000 locally- produced fabric masks. The companies also donated 3,800 fabric masks to Rayong Public Health and Village Health Volunteer of Rayong Province.  Indorama Petrochem Limited (PET) donated 1,500 bags of jasmine rice containing 5kg each to local households in Nikhom Phatthana District, focusing on homes with disabled and bed-bound patients in a community nearby.  Indorama Industries PCL (Nakhon Pathom) donated another 200 sets of survival bags to villagers nearby the IVL operating site in areas including Khunkaew, Bangkrabao, Thakrachub, Srisathong, and Tatamnak subdistricts in the province.  Indorama Ventures Public Company Limited contributed to help communities affected by the Covid-19 outbreak in , Thailand by donating 1,500 bags of supplies to Lock 123 Community and 250 bags to Phra Khanong Riverside Community with the help of volunteer employees in distributing the items.  Indorama Polyester Industries PCL (Rayong), TPT Petrochemicals PCL, Indorama Petrochem Ltd. (PTA) and Indorama Petrochem Ltd. (PET) donated 650 bags of rice and 1,200 survival bags containing rice, drinking water, canned fish, instant noodles and hand sanitizer to communities and temples in Rayong.  Indorama Ventures Public Company Limited provided 12 negative pressure chambers to 10 hospitals in Chachoengsao, Kanchanaburi, Nonthaburi, Phetchaburi, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, Ratchaburi and Saraburi. This piece of equipment is placed over beds to help isolate infected patients in treatment and reduce the risk for medical staff and others in the hospital.

Turkey  Indorama Ventures Corlu PET A.Ş., a PET facility in donated 1,000 face masks and 1,000 pairs of gloves, PPE sets, and 65 food packages to District Governor for contributing to medical personnel, state agencies, and affected families by COVID-19.

USA  Indorama Ventures Olefins in the USA, an ethylene manufacturing plant, donated 190 goggles and 78 boxes of facial masks to Lake Charles Memorial Hospital and a medical community to support the shortage of medical supplies needed.  Indorama Ventures Xylenes & PTA, LLC, located in Decatur, Alabama, handed over hygienic necessities and personal care supplies including 200 disposable face masks, 200 pairs of gloves, toilet paper, hand lotion, and lip balm to Morgan County Child Advocacy Center. The company also donated 50 N95 masks, 100 disposable masks and 12 cartons of disinfecting wipes to Hospice of the Valley.  Indorama Ventures Xylenes & PTA, LLC and AlphaPet Inc. granted financial support of US$30,000 to the United Way of Morgan County – Community Crisis Fund with an aim to help people in communities who are facing circumstances during this difficult period.  Auriga Polymers, a subsidiary of Indorama Ventures, donated US$40,000 to the COVID-19 Crisis Relief Fund of the United Way, a non-profit organization aimed at supporting those charities and communities that are most in need.  Indorama Ventures Sustainable Solutions LLC in Fontana, California, donated US$10,000 to the COVID-19 Relief Fund of the Children's Fund, a non-profit organization aiming to support the children in San Bernardino County who are in the most need.  StarPet Inc. in Asheboro, North Carolina, donated US$2,000 to the CUOC Christians United Outreach Center and US$2,500 to Our Daily Bread Soup Kitchen of Asheboro. This financial aid will be used to purchase food to provide nutritious meals for the increased number of families and individuals in need during this pandemic.  Indorama Ventures Sustainable Solutions, LLC in Alabama donated 200 gallons of hand sanitizer to the Limestone Country First Responders to keep the frontline staff safe from infection.  Indorama Ventures Xylenes & PTA, LLC in Alabama, USA, donated US$5,000 to the Salvation Army center in Decatur. This fund is expected to be used in the shelter operation for the homeless and food supplies for those in need.  Indorama Ventures Sustainable Solutions, LLC in Fontana, California, donated to two more organizations in San Bernardino County, California. US$10,000 has been donated to the Feeding America Riverside - San Bernardino (FARSB), an organization responsible for over 250 food resources for the youth, elderly, chronic patients, homeless, unemployed and more. Another US$5,000 has been donated to Southern California Public Radio (SCPR) and other stations covering California to keep their experienced and talented staff and reporters working.  Indorama Ventures Xylenes & PTA, LLC in Alabama has provided 275 gallons of hand sanitizer to Decatur Police Department, Decatur Fire Department and the Morgan County Sheriff's Department. Another 5 gallons of hand sanitizer was also donated to Decatur Clearview Cancer Institute and Alliance Cancer Center which provides chemotherapy and radiation therapy to cancer patients.  StarPet Inc. in Asheboro, North Carolina, donated US$5,000 to Northridge Church as part of Project 82 in Randolph County. Project 82 provide support for children entering the foster care system, to ease the transition for them and their foster families.
