Dov Bene t wa s born Bere k Bene t i n Radom , Polan d i n 1921. H e immigrated t o Palestin e i n 193 6 with hi s parents, and served in the Jewish Brigade of the British Arm y in World War II. He was involved in genealogy from 198 7 until his death in 1995.

I found clue s within and no t th e cit y o f Lôd z a s I ha d expected . A plac e o f some record s tha t pointe d t o nearb y towns . Thankfully , birth wa s note d a s 'Chinchim , Keltz , Russia ' whic h a s many o f them ha d vital records of their ow n microfilme d everybody knows is 'Chçciny, Kielce, Poland'! by the LDS. T o date I have foun d members of my famil y in the records of the towns of Chçciny, Kielce, Bodzentyn As I worked my way (wit h help from Laure n Davis ) and Malogoszcz . Bu t ho w woul d I hav e unravelle d th e through th e Jewis h vita l record s o f th e tow n o f Chçciny , migration path of the Cytron family i f no prior towns were microfilmed b y th e LDS , I bega n t o find record s fo r m y mentioned in the records I'd foun d i n Chçciny? family. I n particula r I locate d th e 185 6 marriag e recor d for m y great-great-grandparent s Maje r Majerkiewic z an d Other town s an d village s wer e referenced , however , Blima Cytron . I hoped I woul d the n hav e grea t succes s which di d no t hav e thei r ow n vita l recor d register s (no t with the Cytron family a s there was a large family b y that microfilmed b y th e LD S anyway) . I n many case s I wa s name throughou t th e Chçcin y records , bu t unfortunatel y dealing wit h smalle r an d smalle r town s an d villages . I there di d no t appea r t o b e a connection . Blim a wa s began t o wonde r wher e thes e event s migh t hav e bee n described a s bein g 'temporaril y resident ' i n Chçcin y o n registered. I kne w tha t mos t village s di d no t kee p thei r the marriage record and indeed I could not locate her birth own registers, but registered thei r vital event s in a nearby in the Chçcin y records. Ther e was no indicatio n o f he r town. I n addition I knew of some reasonable-sized town s town o f origin. Al l I coul d d o was hope tha t th e famil y and villages which also registered elsewhere, for example were no t from fa r afiel d an d tha t I coul d locat e the m i n the records of nearby towns. Bu t where? • Th e cit y o f Kielc e ha d intermitten t Jewis h residence bans for a large part of the 19 lh century, After researchin g man y o f th e Cytro n record s from hence n o forma l Jewis h congregatio n existe d i n the tow n I determine d tha t ther e wa s anothe r Cytro n Kielce. I have no idea wh y 1825 period. I calculate d tha t Malogoszc z wa s onl y 7. 5 this is the case. Wh y were they not registered i n miles west o f Chçciny and s o this was a reasonable plac e Lopuszno itself ? Ar e ther e an y Lopuszn o to research further . researchers ou t there ? Even better, for several years her grandfather acted as witness to the registrations .
