CINDY HILL…GOVERNOR

I protected your rights. I have fought for, and protected, your rights. I fought for your vote in education, I have protected your 1st Amendment rights, and I fought against data collection on students without the parents’ knowledge. You must have a governor who does not take away your rights.

Gas tax. Wyoming is one of the most mineral rich states in the country. Yet we are taxing our people an additional $.10 per gallon on fuel. There is more than enough money in our state to take care of our roads and highways without increasing the burden on our citizens. As governor I will repeal this unnecessary tax on the Wyoming people.

Common Core. The current governor went before the State School Board and said that he wanted the Common Core adopted “without further delay.” I opposed it and voted no. I believe that we as a state should have the highest standards in education and not set by those from far outside our state. As

governor I will repeal the Common Core. Republican Constitutionalist Conservative Taylor Haynes for Governor P.O. Box 2071 Cody, WY 82414

SHERYL LAIN….SUPERINTENDENT OF PUBLIC INSTRUCTION

Sheryl Lain was born in Powell, Wyoming where her father taught agriculture at Powell High School and her mother raised Sheryl and her five sisters. Sheryl graduated from the University of Wyoming and, following in her father's footsteps, began her teaching career at the Wind River High School in 1968. Sheryl has worked in Wyoming’s schools for more than 40 years as a teacher, administrator, literacy coach, and instructional facilitator. She currently serves as the Instructional Leader in the Wyoming Department of Education’s Office of the State Superintendent.

Throughout her career, Sheryl’s work has resulted in improved studdent achievement. Using methods learned from Sheryl's professional development trainings, staff at both Arp Elementary School and Carey Junior High in Cheyenne were able to grow student literacy to meet annual AYP goals after being deemed "in improvement" under the No Child Left Behind law. Similarly, after deploying instructional support to districts across the State while serving as the Instructional Leader in the Wyoming Department of Education, student scores improved on the statewide assessments in reading, math, and science.

Sheryl brings a wide breadth and depth of experience to discussions affecting Wyoming’s classrooms to the office of State Superintendent. As Wyoming’s policy makers continue to discuss organizational structure and accountability, Sheryl is committed to examining every program and initiative for how it will affect the classroom. Sheryl embraces conservative principles of individual responsibility, fiscal integrity, and limited government control over people’s lives. As State Superintendent she will apply these principles to support students, teachers, and local communities as they work to grow our most precious resource – Wyoming’s students.

BILL WINNEY… SUPERINTENDENT OF PUBLIC INSTRUCTION

Experience: Naval Nuclear Power Program: Chalkboardd teacher for two years, directly responsible for Officer Students, supervised Enlisted Student education. As Commanding Officer of two ships, I was responsible for ship-wide education and training. Personally reported such training to the head of that program. Theoretical concepts as well as theory to practice were embedded.

More importantly observed my wife teach, and cope with, many eduucation administrations as we moved many times during my Naval Service. Through heer eyes I saw “The good, the bad, and the ugly” of administrations.

Vision & Plans: Our legislature has stepped into a gap in leadershipp by becoming a super- school board. I will work to move them back into setting overarching statute but not the details. I will work to reduce the testing regimen our teachers cope with and young people endure. I will reestablish the confidence that the Wyoming Department of Education staff deserves in their leadership.

I have observed our legislature for a decade. Wyoming has tried many, many administrative changes to improve education with little success. More and more “good” administration won’t get us where we want to go. It is time to change the equuation. I will bring that change.

If you want a champion for local control, increased collaboration, parental involvement, and improved outcomes for kids, then let’s roll up our sleeves and get to work. Wyoming deserves the best.” ‐Jillian Balow

Jillian Balow is a Republican running for Superintendent of Public Instruction. She taught in the classroom for ten years and earned a Master’s degree in Education. Beyond the classroom, Jillian obtained experience working as an administrator for the State Department of Education and the Department of Family Services and managed large programs and budgets. Jillian also serves and takes ownership within her community by volunteering through local organizations. For more information please visit http://www.jillian4supt.com/

Allen Whiteman Senate District 25

Allen Whiteman is a native born Wyomingite and knows what is important to Wyoming and its people.

 Getting Common Core out of Wyoming Outside and out of state interests have no business setting the educational standards for Wyoming's schools and students. Wyoming has set the bar for the students and that should be what Wyoming's students are held to. As you know, Common Core is the brain child of Microsoft and Bill Gates and does not reward academic excellence, instead Common Core "dumbs down" students and is extremely detrimental to Wyoming's students.  No Redefining Marriage Until there is a Constitutional amendment in both the US and Wyoming constitutions allowing this, redefining marriage to suit the agenda of a small group should not be allowed. I stand firmly against same sex marriage until it is constitutionally guaranteed.  Preventing Government Over Reaching The recent EPA ruling regarding the city of Riverton and its boundaries is a blatant example of non‐ authoritative government agencies making laws that states are to abide by. Unless this authority has come through Congress in a constitutional manner, Wyoming should not be subjected to arbitrary 'laws" set up by these agencies.

DANIEL CARDENAS…HOUSE DISTRICT 33

Daniel Cardenas of Saint Stephens, WY is seeking the Republican nomination for Wyoming HD#33. A husband, father to six children, and small business owner, I want to be your next Representative because we have not had proper representation for ten years. Our District has had the greatest neeeds and no voice in Cheyenne. I can be that voice. We need an advocate who will not only fight for and represent us all, but one who also understands and can best take the needs of the neediest and get legislation written and passed.

 Less government is good. But, a smaller government can still be responsible for those in our communities who have no voice; the homeless (families and veterans), the hungry, and the elderly. The public and private sector can make good partners in trying to solve our community problems.  When parents have choices in education, children do the best. I support a strong public school system, from PreK to University. I also support strong and truly community driven charter schools, a flexible home school system, providing school vouchers to parents who live in chronically underperforming school districts, and strong online/virtual schools. We need more local control, away from Washington and Cheyenne, as well as keeping parents, teachers, and administrators accountable for our children.  We need a robust water delivery system in Wyoming, so I will support options to develop new storage as well as upgrade and strengthen existing systems, without raising taxes.  Our transportation related infrastructure (roads, highways, interstates, bridges, airports) is not keeping up with current use, let alone being prepared for future growwth. We need to bring together the public and private sectors to help create a solution to pay for past, current, and future needs. We can do this without raising taxes.

While serving my first term, I was listed as a sponsor on two bills that were passed and signed by the Governor. In my second term I co- sponsored the bill allowing Medicaid receipents to be able to use the hospice facilities.

Prior to serving in the WY House some of my duties and reesponsibilities included:

My name is Lloyd Charles Larsen and I am currently finishing my first term in the Wyoming House of Representatives representing the greater Lander area that makes up House District #54. I am running for reelection to the same office.

This system has recently added a new elections layer!  worked diligently to develop and maintain open lines of communication with taxpayers to ensure transparency in the valuation process.  re‐structured job duties and streamlined information processing to assure the most accurate analysis. I and my staff have maintained the necessary certifications in order to carry out the duties of the office.  completed our valuations within the parameters set by the Wyoming State Board of Equalization as well as the Wyoming Department of Revenue.  I have been fiscally responsible with taxpayer money and taken a conservative approach to valuation while still meeting the standards set forth in the Wyoming Statutes. I truly enjoy the challenges the assessor’s office presents. I enjoy working for and with the people of Fremont County and would appreciate your continued support in the upcoming election.

FREMONT COUNTY CLERK

Julie Freese is seeking support in her bid for Fremont County Clerk. Her love of the job is mainly why she will seek re‐election. “I love the people I work for and the challenges that the job presents me.” A fiscal conservative, Freese understands the responsibility of having a conservative county budget which is funded by the taxpayers. Freese promotes accountable spending, responsible budgeting for the long term and transparency for the public. This holds true in all aspects of the County

Clerk’s Office. The Clerk is responsible for vehicle titles, land recordings, UCC filings, marriage licenses, liquor licenses, Budget Officer for the County, all county payroll and accounts payables, local election officer and Clerk to the Board of County Commissioners. “I have the attitude that we can always do better and try things that are different if they will make the job morre efficient “. “I keep myself trained on new things and can actively performm all of the jobs in our officce.” We will be implementing an “early voting” component to our absentee process to give the voters a better method of voting their ballots prior to the actual electtion date “I love hearing from my constituents when they like something or when they are unhhappy, that’s my job and I llook forward to serving another 4 years if that is the desire of my community.”

FREMONT COUNTY WYOMING

I AM A REPUBLICAN BECAUSE…..

I believe the strength of our nation lies with the individual and that each person’s dignity, freedom, ability and responsibility must be honored.

I believe in equal rights, equal justice and equal opportunity for all, regardless of race, creed, sex, age or disability.

I believe free enterprise and encouraging individual initiative have brought this nation opportunity, economic growth and prosperity.

I believe government must practice fiscal responsibility and allow individuals to keep more of the money they earn.

I believe the proper role of government is to provide for the people only those critical functions that cannot be performed by individuals or private organizations and that the best government is that which governs least.

I believe the most effective, responsible and responsive government is government that is closest to the people.

I believe Americans must retain the principles that have made us strong while developing new and innovative ideas to meet the challenges of changing times.

I believe Americans value and should preserve our national strength and pride while working to extend peace, freedom and human rights throughout the world.

Finally, I believe the Republican Party is the best vehicle for translating these ideals into positive and successful principles of government.
