September 28, 2020 A Message From the Principal

September 28, 2020 Thank you so much to our PTO and volunteers for the wonderful playground improvements. The children were so excited to get out and play. I took pictures of the first recess, and Ms. DeBernardi is uploading them to Face and the /school website. Again, thank you to all who made our students so happy. PLEASE NOTE! A change has been made to our school calendar. St. will begin Thanksgiving holidays on Wednesday, November 25th and classes will resume on Tuesday, December 1st. These extra two days will give us a chance to do more thorough cleaning and sanitizing in the school building. The 20-21 St. Ambrose School Family Handbook will be available on our school website. Even though we are not in the official Thanksgiving Season, I want to tell you how grateful I am to our faculty and staff who worked so long and hard to make sure we had a wonderful beginning to this school year. Our faculty and staff continue to go above and beyond making sure our students are following the guidelines.

With gratitude to all who make St. Ambrose such a blessing to us all.

Monsignor Bommarito and his able assistant drew the winning ticket from the hopper. The Blessing of the Animals

In honor of the Feast of St. Francis of there will be a Blessing of the Animals on at 9:30 AM in front of church steps. Please bring your pets to celebrate.

World Animal Day is a reminder not just to love the animals in our homes but to appreciate and respect all living things that are a part of our ecosystem.

All pets must be leashed for safety. St. Francis of Assisi The patron of as well of all animals, Francis of Assisi, was a poor little man who astounded and inspired the Church by taking the literally—not in a narrow fundamentalist sense, but by actually following all that said and did, joyfully, without limit, and without a sense of self-importance.

Lord, make me an instrument of Your peace; Where there is hatred, let me sow love; Where there is injury, pardon; Where there is doubt, faith; Where there is despair, hope; Where there is darkness, light; And where there is sadness, joy.

O Divine Master, Grant that I may not so much seek To be consoled as to console; To be understood, as to understand; To be loved, as to love; For it is in giving that we receive, It is in pardoning that we are pardoned, And it is in dying that we are born to Eternal Life. Amen. https://www.franciscanmedia.org/saint-francis-of-assisi/ Pre-K 4 Fun!
