Clearing snow from bike lanes and cycle tracks should also be included. In our Midtown neighbourhood, many people walk to their destination, or walk to a TTC stop. This becomes treacherous in winter with many uncleared sidewalks. Seniors are hesitant to leave their home for fear of falling; people pushing baby carriages struggle to get through mounds of snow; cyclists are forced to veer into traffic when cycle lanes are left unplowed. Even young people slip and fall when suddenly there is a patch of unseen ice that is covered by a layer of snow. As well, City plows sometimes push snow off the road onto sidewalks where it becomes frozen and cannot be reasonably cleared by anyone except those who have hired a snow clearing service; this is especially dangerous on high traffic routes such as along Duplex. It is most inequitable that in our neighbourhood where walking is most common, that we should not receive the same tax-payer-funded service that is provided to residents in the former cities of North York, Scarborough, Etobicoke, and York.

    REPORT FOR ACTION Inclusion on the City of Toronto's Heritage Register - 22 Lytton Boulevard Date: August 12, 2021 To: Toronto Preservation Board North York Community Council From: Senior Manager, Heritage Planning, Urban Design, City Planning Wards: Eglinton-Lawrence - Ward 8 SUMMARY This report recommends that City Council include the property at 22 Lytton Boulevard on the City of Toronto's Heritage Register for its cultural heritage value. The subject property is west of Yonge Street within the Lytton Park neighbourhood, and is situated prominently on the north side of Lytton Boulevard. It contains a one-and-a- half-storey cross-gable brick house constructed c.1913 for the contractor Albert H. Garrett, and was one of the first houses constructed within the Alexandra Gardens Subdivision. The house is a unique and representative example of the Tudor Revival style, with craftsman elements. 22 Lytton Boulevard represents the first wave of development within the Alexandra Gardens Subdivision, which was registered by Edward Bentley Stockdale in 1910 and included Lytton Boulevard, Alexandra Boulevard and Strathallan Boulevard, west of Yonge Street. It is one of the few surviving pre-World War I houses within the subdivision and the larger Lytton Park Neighbourhood, and along with nearby properties on the Heritage Register, including the Snider House at 744 Duplex Avenue and the Webster house at 42 Lytton Boulevard, the property at 22 Lytton Boulevard plays a significant role in supporting and maintaining the character of the area.     TTC 2022 Annual Service Plan Stakeholder Meeting 1 Summary Thursday, June 24, 2021 2:00 – 4:00 pm Meeting held online Overview On Thursday, June 24th, 2021, the TTC hosted the first of two planned rounds of stakeholder consultation about its 2022 Annual Service Plan. The stakeholder group engaged includes representatives of city-wide and area-specific organizations with an interest in transit and service planning (see Participant List attached). This first round of consultation included both an afternoon session and an evening session, both of which covered the same material and discussion questions, and, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, took place via web conferencing software. This stakeholder meeting summary covers the afternoon session, which ran from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. Approximately 8 participants attended the afternoon stakeholder meeting, along with staff from the TTC and Swerhun Inc., the third-party facilitation and engagement team retained by the TTC to support the consultation process on the 2022 Annual Service Plan. The purpose of the meeting was to share and seek feedback on the draft initiatives and priorities for the 2022 Annual Service Plan. The meeting included an overview presentation, question and answer period, and a facilitated, plenary discussion. Attachments included: Attachment 1. Agenda and Attachment 2.
