January is “Human Life and Dignity / Respect Life” Month

CORRECTION: The Blessing of Expectant Parents will be offered at all Masses the weekend of January 18th and 19th. If you are an expectant parent please take advantage of this very special blessing for your family.

The annual OLGC Rose Procession will take place before each of the weekend Masses on Jan 18/19th. The Procession is in remembrance of all babies who have been aborted since the infamous Roe vs. Wade Supreme Court Decision in Jan.1973. This is a poignant and beautiful service.

During the month of January OLGC parish as well as many parishes throughout our city and the nation, displays White Crosses on the grounds nearby the Church Driveway entrance. These white crosses represent a silent memorial for the unborn babies, a Cemetery of the Innocents. We mourn these babies. We pray that this memorial will help save unborn babies by touching the hearts of the undecided and confronting those who favor abortion. ———————————————————————————————————————————--——————- The 14th Annual “March for Life St Augustine” (MFLSA) is Saturday, January 18, at the of Our Lady of La Leche (101 San Marco Ave). Congressman John Rutherford will be speaking at the March on Saturday following the Mass between 10:00 and 11:00 am. At 11:15 am, we march through town to the plaza for the keynote speaker, Doug Tooke, a national speaker for youth and young adults representing ODB films and the new series entitled Restored.
