Raj estranged from his vindictive father, who also threw Raj’s mother out on suspicion of infidelity. Grew up on the street, Raj met Jagga, only to realize he was responsible for his mother’s estrangement. AWARDS It was entered into the 1953 Cannes Film Festival, where it was nominated for the Grand Prize of the Festival.

Raj, dibuang oleh ayahnya yang juga mengusir ibu Raj karena dituduh berselingkuh. Tumbuh di jalanan, Raj bertemu Jagga, hanya untuk mengetahui dialah alasan ibunya diusir. PENGHARGAAN Film ini masuk Festival Film Cannes tahun 1953 dan dinominasikan untuk HadiahTerbaik.

Kisah perjuangan seorang pujangga yang berusaha mempublikasikan karyanya di masa pasca-kemerdekaan India, dan seorang prostitusi baik hati yang membantunya mempublikasikan karya tersebut. PENGHARGAAN Diputar di International Festival of Asian Cinema ke-9 di Vesoul tahun 2003.

Setelah menikah diam-diam, Arun meninggal di kecelakaan pesawat, dan sang istri Vandana dalam keadaan hamil.
