Book of the Term A Praying Life – connecting with God in a distracting world by Paul Miller. Books on prayer sometimes just leave you feeling guilty, this book doesn’t. It’s realistic about our struggles in prayer and encourages us to not go after prayer but after God – it’s a book about developing an intimate relationship with God, which after all is what being a Christian is all about. Buy it, read it, discuss it with someone and hopefully we’ll discuss it together towards the end of the term. Copies cost £5 each from Anne Peters.
