Regulatory Committee 3 December 2019 Planning Enforcement Investigations Recommendation That Members note the information in this report. 1.0 Key Issues 1.1 This report is to provide details on current active and recently resolved Planning Enforcement investigations by Warwickshire County Council Planning Enforcement where there has been either formal action taken by the Council or a planning application submitted. 1.2 This report does not cover matters being investigated by district or borough councils or other agencies or where the complaint has not been received by Warwickshire County Council. 1.3 Section 6.0 contains the current cases under investigation. It is a small and compact settlement and the Conservation Area includes areas of undeveloped land both within and surrounding the village. Leamington Hastings is set within agricultural land and comprises three character areas; an area to the south-east of the village and including development along Main Street, the area comprising the almshouses, church, Manor House and former grounds of the Manor, and land to the north and east of the village. Conservation Areas were introduced by the Civic Amenities Act in 1967 and a Conservation Area is defined by the Planning (Listed Buildings and Conservation Areas) Act 1990 as an ‘area of special architectural or historic interest, the character of which it is desirable to preserve or enhance’.

Leamington Hastings Church of England Academy Admissions Policy 2019-20 1. Introduction This document sets out the Policy of Leamington Hastings CofE Academy with respect to Admissions. The Diocese of Coventry Multi Academy Trust (the MAT), is the Admission Authority for the academy. The Local Governing Body is delegated to act in respect of admissions on behalf of the MAT. Recognising its historic foundation, the academy will preserve and develop its religious character in accordance with the principles of the Church of England and in partnership with the churches at parish and diocesan level The academy aims to serve its community by providing an education of the highest quality within the context of Christian faith and practice. It encourages an understanding of the meaning and significance of faith, and promotes Christian values through the experience it offers to all its pupils. In accordance with government legislation, the Local Governing Body consults with the Multi Academy Trust, Diocesan Board of Education, the Local Authority, other local academies, parents and other relevant persons in respect of its admissions arrangements. 2. Aims The overriding aim of this policy is that it should work for the benefit of all children and parents/guardians in our area. It should be simple to use and assist parents/guardians to make the best decisions on the preferred academy for their children. 3. Published Admission Number (PAN) Every year the Local Governing Body will review and publish information concerning the academy’s admission policy. This will confirm the maximum number of children to be admitted to the academy for the year of intake.

Cabinet 18 March 2021 Change of Status of Dunchurch Infant School Recommendation That Cabinet approves that Dunchurch Infant School, a Foundation school, be closed and simultaneously replaced by a new Voluntary Aided school (with no change to pupils, staff or buildings). 1. Executive Summary 1.1 Dunchurch Infant School is currently a Foundation School, federated with Dunchurch Boughton Junior School, which is a Voluntary Aided (Church of England) School supported by the Diocese of Coventry. 1.2 The Governors of the Federation and the Diocese of Coventry have decided, following a public consultation, that the Infant school would benefit from becoming a Voluntary Aided (Church of England) School to align with the Junior school. 1.3 The change of status will require the closure of Dunchurch Infant School as a Foundation School, which is proposed by the Governing Body. The simultaneous opening of Dunchurch Infant School as a Voluntary Aided School is proposed by the Diocese of Coventry. The decision maker for both proposals is Warwickshire County Council, as the Local Authority. 1.4 A public consultation was run by the Governing Body of the Dunchurch Schools’ Federation, between 14th December and midday on 29th January 2021.
