Haak, 87, of Decatur died Saturday, April 12, 2003, in Decatur. Born Dec. 31, 1915, in Chicago, Ill., she was a retired secretary for a theatrical production company. She married William E. Haak on April 16, 1938, in Chicago. He preceded her in death. She is survived by a son, James Haak of Florida; a daughter, Joan Haak of Decatur; three brothers, Walter Alcumbrac of Decatur, Paul Hornburg of Arkansas and Ron Alcumbrac of Indiana and two sisters, Pauline Hornburg of Michigan and Sharon Tatge of Illinois. Thursday, April 17, 2003 Hachtel, Albert J. 1910-2003 Graveside service for Albert J. Hachtel, 92, of Newark, will be Monday, Dec. 22, at 2 p.m. at Oaklawn Cemetery. The Rev. Dan Hunt will officiate. Hachtel died Thursday, Dec. 18, 2003, in Newark. Born Dec. 23, 1910, in Bowie to Will and Matilda Hachtel, he married Jewell Kelley Sept. 1, 1934, in Denton. He was a retired driver for Dye Trucking and a member of the First Baptist Church in Newark. He was preceded in death by his wife and a son, Jimmy Hachtel. He is survived by a son, Donald and wife, Earlene, of Newark; three sisters, Clara Doyle of Slidell, Vivian Montgomery of Decatur and Flora Branch of Sycamore; four grandchildren, David and wife, Gaby, of Newark, Cynthia Rasbury and husband, Kevin, of Boyd and Lorie Stevenson and husband, Andy, of Boyd; five great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. Published Sunday, December 21, 2003 Hale, Georgette 1961-2003 Memorial for Georgette Hale, 42, of Haslet will be Saturday, June 14 at 4 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church of Alvord. Hale died Friday, May 30, 2003 in Haslet. Born April 16, 1961 in Fort Worth to James Herbert and Rosie McAlister, she married Johnny Hale June 21, 1984 and worked as a postal carrier. She was preceded in death by her father. She is survived by her husband Johnny Hale of Haslet; mother Rosie McAlister of Nocona; two daughters, Keeley and Carson of Haslet; four brothers, Michael McAlister and wife Cindy of Alvord, Gary McAlister and wife Kathy of Springtown, Randy McAlister and wife Beth of Godley and Timbo McAlister of Nocona; two sisters, Becky Sadler and husband Guy of Nocona and Sandy McGaw of Denton and many nieces and nephews. Sunday, June 8, 2003 Hale, Shirley J. 1945-2003 Service for Shirley J. Hale, 57, of Bridgeport was to be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 22, at the First United Methodist Church in Bridgeport. The Rev. Johnny Irish was to officiate. Burial was to follow at Eastside Cemetery in Bridgeport. Hale died Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2003, in Decatur. Born May 24, 1945, in Littlefield, she was a caregiver for home health. She married Benjamin Franklin Hale III on March 5, 1965, in Boyd. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Boyd. She is survived by her husband; her mother and step-father, Sibyl and W. B. Arrington of Bridgeport; a son, Scotty Hale and wife Wendy of Arlington; a daughter, Traci Meekins and husband Donald of Bridgeport; two brothers, Jerry Hartsell of Fort Worth and Michael Hartsell of Bridgeport and three grandchildren, Christopher and Haley Meekins of Bridgeport and Emily Hale of Arlington. Sunday, February 23, 2003 Hamer, Linnie Bruce ‘Butch’ 1956-2003 Funeral for Linnie Bruce “Butch” Hamer, 47, of Lewisville was May 7, at Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home. Burial was at Swisher Cemetery in Lake Dallas. Born March 29, 1956, in Marietta, Okla., to Linnie Burch and Annabell Daniels Hamer, he died Saturday, May 3, 2003, at his home. He was rock hauler from Lewisville known as “Hammer Head” on the citizens’ band radio. He is survived by his mother, Annabell Putnam of Lewisville; a daughter, Shannon Lynn Hardy and her husband Ron of Lake Dallas; a son, Scott Hamer of Lake Dallas; grandchildren, Erica Geninatti, Devin Geninatti and Kaleigh Hardy; and step-brother, Dewey Reyonalds of Caney. He was preceded in death by a son, Leonard Charles Hamer and a grandson, Austin Geninatti. Sunday, May 11, 2003 Haney, Lillie Fae 1912-2003 Funeral for Lillie Fae Haney, 91, of Bridgeport was Thursday, April 17, at the First United Methodist Church of Bridgeport. The Rev. Johnny Irish officiated. Burial followed at East Bridgeport Cemetery. Haney died Tuesday, April 15, 2003, in Bridgeport. Born March 4, 1912, in Wise County, she was a lifetime resident of Bridgeport. She was a homemaker and a retired store clerk. Haney was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Bridgeport and the Order of the Eastern Star for over 50 years. She married S.A. Haney Jr. on April 28, 1934, in Decatur. She was preceded in death by her husband on Dec. 9, 1984, and by a great-granddaughter, Shannon Hofacket. She is survived by a daughter, Joyce Beard and husband Jerry of Bridgeport; a son, Edwin Haney and wife Melba of Decatur; five grandchildren, Karen Slimp and Kevin Haney of Decatur, Melanie Harris of Chico, Laurie Lange of Wichita Falls and Dan Beard of Richmond; 11 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Loyd Jackson, Wayne Alexander, Harold Mosley, Ronny Beard, Levert Beard and Jerry Rawle. Sunday, April 20, 2003 Harbour, Donna Leon Berg 1943-2003 Memorial service for Donna Leon Berg Harbour, 60, formerly of Decatur will be Feb. 19, 10:30 a.m. at Mid-Cities Funeral Home in Haltom City. Cremated remains will be interred at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery at a later date. Harbour died Sunday, Feb. 9, 2003, in Dallas. She was born Nov. 23, 1942, in Decatur to Alfred Leon and Yvonne Hayes Berg. She was preceded in death by her mother in 1998. She is survived by her husband, Donald E. Harbour of Grand Prarie; father, Alfred Berg of Fort Worth; children, Joseph Atkins of White Settlement, Yvette Johnston and husband Ricky of Fort Worth and Mac Young of Blomingdale, Ohio; brother, Wendell Berg of Houston, and grandchildren, Katy, Andy and Guinevere. Wise County Messenger, February 16, 2003 Hardee, Sally M. 1932-2003 Graveside funeral for Sally M. Hardee, 71, formerly of Chico was to be at 3 p.m. Saturday, June 14, 2003 at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. Hardee died Thursday, June 12, 2003. Born in Chico, Mrs. Hardee moved to Pooler, Ga. in 1992. She was a member of Cuba Baptist Church in Bridgeport. She is survived by six sons and a daughter-in-law; Robert and Anita Hardee of Eden, Ga., James Gray of Pooler and Bill, Paul, Buster and Charles Hardee of Texas; grandchildren, Robert, Jessica and Kenny and Johnny Joe Hardee, Crystal Hardee Rodriguez and Peggy Rackley all of Texas and Kathy Ann Hardee of Arkansas; 14 great-grandchildren; and sister and brothers, Lucy Hamm and Willie White of Bloomingdale, Ga. and Randy Marie White of Pooler. Sunday, June 15, 2003 Hardy, Nadine 1920-2003 Graveside service for Nadine Hardy, 83, of Newark was Tuesday, Dec. 23, at Chadwick Cemetery in Lometa. David Sheppard officiated. Hardy died Sunday, Dec. 21, 2003, in Newark. She was born June 28, 1920, in Coryell County to George and Delila Delano. She married Ethan Thomas Hardy on Oct. 10, 1939, in San Saba County. Hardy was a retired newspaper carrier for the Fort Worth Star-Telegram and an active member of the Apostolic Tabernacle of Fort Worth. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and seven brothers and sisters. She is survived by her daughter, Anita Pope and husband, Phil; three grandchildren, Elliot Pope and wife, Tammie, Rebecca Adelstein and husband, Tim, and Sylvia Newton and husband, Randall; and great-grandchildren, Matthew Read, Patricia Adelstein, Corinna, Allison and Elliot Pope Jr., Casey Watson, Savannah, Stage and River Spears, Seth and Colton Newton and Crystal, David and Shera Lynn Tunstall. Bud Hale was to officiate. Burial was to follow at Oaklawn Cemetery. Harlow died Thursday, April 10, 2003, in Decatur. Born July 27, 1909, in Rising Star, he was a retired insurance agent and a member of the Decatur Church of Christ. He married Mary Gladys Hughes on March 30, 1930, in Shackleford County. She preceded him in death July 25, 1995. He is survived by two sons, Hollis D. Harlow of Decatur and Johnny Harlow of Possum Kingdom Lake; three sisters, Jonnie Ward of Decatur, Faye Archer of Abilene and Mary Lee Jones of Sunrise Beach; six grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were to be J.D. Taylor, Ron Hess, Roy Oliver, Larry Wooldridge, Doyle Green and Clay Smith. Honorary pallbearers were to be W.B. Woodruff, R.A. Pinkerton and Ruben Pinkerton. Sunday, April 13, 2003 Harrell, Jessie Bastian 1911-2003 Service for Jessie Bastian Harrell, 91, of Paradise was June 6 at the Coker Funeral Home Chapel in Decatur. The Rev. Jack Vereen officiated. Burial was at Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
