I would like to applaud the efforts made by the respective National Sports Federations, coaches, team officials and support staff without whose collaborative and collective effort such performances would not have been possible. With less than 300 days left for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, I hope that the focus and discipline will continue towards our common pursuit to win medals for India. Our Chef de Mission for Tokyo 2020 recently attended the CDM meeting in Tokyo. The visit was very constructive and all efforts are being made by IOA to ensure that the best possible support will be provided to the Indian Contingent. My heartfelt remembrance and tribute to Raja Bhalendra Singh of Patiala on his birth centenary 9 August 1919-2019, the former President of IOA and IOC Member 1947-1992.
