Anthony Wright paced able to hold off the Rockets’ second-half rally to register a 76-65 triumph. Zack Leahy the Rockets offensively with 15 points and was 4-of-8 from behind the three-point arc. paced UT with 17 points and four assists, Delino Dear scored 12 points and grabbed seven Hayden Humes notched his first career double-double, scoring 12 points and grabbing rebounds and Reese Holliday tallied 11 points and three assists. Hayden Humes also 10 rebounds to help UT register a 33-29 advantage on the boards. Robo Kreps topped enjoyed a solid outing for a second-straight contest with eight points and a game-high 11 the Flames with 20 points. Toledo, which started four freshmen and never held a lead in rebounds. Sophomore G Akeem Richmond led Rhode Island with a game-high 18 points. the contest, was hampered by a 56.5 free-throw percentage. Field-goal percentage was Toledo trailed by double digits in the second half until a pair of Holliday free throws with virtually even with UIC knocking down 19-of-48 (39.6 percent) and UT hitting 17-of-43 3:27 remaining put UT down 66-57. Holliday then drew the Rockets even closer, 66-59, (39.5 percent). UT had a chance to tie the score at 52-52 with 39 seconds to play but on a layup with just under two minutes remaining. That was as close as Toledo could get Reese Holliday couldn’t convert on the second of two free throws. though as the Rams knocked down 10 of 12 free throws in the final two minutes.

Game College of Charleston 64, Toledo 51 #5 Nov. 21, 2010 • Savage Arena TOLEDO, OH — Toledo concluded its three-game weekend hosting the sub-regional of the 2K Sports Classic with a 64-51 setback to the College of Charleston. Malcolm Griffin came off the bench to lead the Rockets with 12 points. He also dished out a game-high five assists while committing just two turnovers in 27 minutes.Delino Dear was the only other Rocket in double figures with 10 points and grabbed six boards, while all-tourney selection Hayden Humes hauled down a game-high eight caroms to go along with seven points in a game-high 37 minutes. Humes’ play this weekend earned him a spot on the all-tournament team. Andrew Goudelock scored a game-high 17 points for the Cougars. The first half was relatively even and the score was tied at 16-16 with 9:20 remaining. Charleston broke open the contest though with a 12-1 spurt before halftime to go into the intermission with a 36-22 advantage.
