ORDER OF WORSHIP FROM OUR PASTOR Gathering Hymn 536 O Spirit All-Embracing Our Holy Father, Francis has added a new Tune: THAXTED memorial to the of the Church. Sprinkling Rite rd This new memorial was announced on March 3 of this Glory to God year by Cardinal Sarah of the Congregation for Divine Worship and Discipline of the . The new Liturgy of the Word – 1098 & 1099 memorial is “Mary, Mother of the Church”. It will be celebrated annually on the Monday after Pentecost. So tomorrow for the first time we will celebrate this new memorial in honor of our Blessed Mother. In former days before the , Pentecost was celebrated as an Octave as we do for the celebrations of Pentecost Sequence (9 AM & 11 AM) - 1100 Christmas and Easter. This new memorial fills a little bit of the gap in what used to be an eight day celebration of Acclamation Pentecost. The title “Mary, Mother of the Church”, was first used by Blessed Pope Paul VI soon after the Second Vatican Council. Mass texts were added to the second edition of the Roman Missal in 1975. Several conferences worldwide have already had the day on their particular calendars. The Pope’s decree now makes it a universal celebration. Universal Prayers Every Friday evening we have a Eucharistic Holy Hour in the church from 7:00PM until 8:00PM. We begin with Exposition of the Blessed and then begin Night Prayer from the Liturgy of the Hours. A period of silence follows for about forty minutes and then we conclude with the remainder of Night Prayer and Benediction of the Most Blessed Sacrament. Please feel free to join us any Friday evening as we listen, reflect Presentation and Preparation of the Gifts and pray together in front of the Blessed Sacrament.

533 Fire of God, Undying Flame Fr Troha Tune: NUN KOMM DER HEIDEN HEILAND Communion Chant THE SECOND GREATEST STORY EVER TOLD Join us Thursday evenings from 7:00-8:30 p.m. starting June 7th for THE SECOND GREATEST STORY EVER TOLD, a 10 week DVD series. Each week we watch Fa- ther Michael Gaitley present Divine Mercy in a fascinating and holy inspirational manner followed by discussion and fellowship. He describes a story that encompasses the his- tory of Poland and how it plays a crucial role in Divine Mercy, the life of St. Pope John Paul II and the role that the Marian Consecration can play in your life. This is more than a historical re-telling of the Great Mercy Pope. He includes Sister Faustina, Maximillian Kolbe and Moth- er Teresa of Calcutta to name a few. This program serves as a compass for all who desire to bear witness to the mer-
