Lincoln AveAve (847) 677-9740 Lincolnwood, IL IL 60712 60712 Pat’s Corner: Reviews from previous trips Day Trip: The Odyssey Boat Tour & Lunch What a wonderful Fall day spent on the new "Odyssey" Chicago Riverboat Architectural Lunch Cruise. The weather was perfect. After eating a delicious lunch, that was served with white gloves, you can retire to the deck to see the newest and tallest buildings of Chicago. A delightful day to spend with friends and family, and to quote, "Eventually all things merge into one, and a river runs through it." Theatre Trip: Hamilton What can I say in my review about the magnificent play, Hamilton. I have been lucky to have seen it 3 times and each time was like the first. Hamilton is a powerful presentation of a story inspired by the book Alexander Hamilton. It is the story of Hamilton's ascent out of poverty and into power against the backdrop of the America War of Independence. From the moment the curtains open, and the full cast is on stage, until the end when the curtains close, it is Magical, it is Rap, and it is Powerful. City-Style Lunch: Offshore at Navy Pier A Chic 36,000 square foot rooftop venue overlooking a beautiful Lake Michigan. A spectacular meet and greet with a skyline like no other. It is opened all seasons and that makes it a fabulous place for special events. Lovely leather couches with low tables and high tables with stools make for a variety of places to sit and enjoy the exotic shared foods. The 360 degree view, while eating at the Offshore, are of the wonderful boats that fill our beautiful lake with all of their glory. Pat’s Book Review: The Ghosts of Eden Park The Ghosts of Eden Park by Karen Abbott A true crime story of a time, 1921, in the early days of prohibition, a man named George Remus became the most successful Bootlegger in America.
