Pursuant to Republic Act No. 9155 known as Governance ofBasic Education Act of2001 which strengthens School-Based Management (SBM) by further devolving the governance of education to schools, expanding community participation and involvement, and making the delivery of education services to the learners more responsive, efficient and effective through an enhanced school planning and communication processes, this division, in partnership with the International Mind Education Institute Philippines (IMEI) shall conduct the 2019 International Education Leaders Training for DepEd public and private officials, teachers and other education stakeholders with the theme: "Character Education, Leadership and Management" on November 29 -December 01, 2019 at Aula Maria Hall, Saint Mary's University (SMU), Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya. Primary purposes of this training are to (a) revolutionize the idea of leadership by focusing on the importance of having a leader's heart as educators; and (b) be aware of relevant issues that affect Filipino learners' education. 3. The expected participants of this three-day training program are DepEd public and private officials, supervisors, school-heads, department heads, teachers and non-teaching personnel of elementary and secondary schools in the division. Please see Annex A attached herewith for the minimum number of slots for schools division office, elementary and secondary schools, 4. A registration fee of P3,500.00 shall be charged each participant to defray expenses for certificate, a 7th time best seller self-development book, two-day lunch, snacks (two am and two pm), and a polo shirt which may be charged from school MOOE for school based­ participants and division HRTD/MOOE for SDO personnel-based participants subject to the usual accounting and auditing rules and regulations procedures. 5. In case the school MOOE is not enough for the registration fee, sharing scheme may be done where the participant may shoulder the 50% and the school MOOE for the other 50% registration fee. It can also be suggested for the school heads to replenish the registration fee of his/her participants in the next month MOOE disbursement in case MOOE fund is not available in the current month. 6. Participants are advised to pre-register (consolidated per district/secondary schools) from November 4- 15, 2019 specifying their polo shirt's size. Registration fee may be paid at the SDO Cashier's Office until November 20, 2019. 7. Magat watershed was declared as a forest-reservation area through Proclamation No. 573 on June 26, 1969 because of its great importance to human survival and environmental balance in the region. The Magat case demonstrates the important role that ‘champions’ like the local government unit (LGU) could play in managing the country’s watersheds. With the Nueva Viscaya province constituting 97% of the Magat watershed, the provincial government was committed to provide a strong management support system to the watershed.
