*A Brony (bro + pony) is a fan of the children’s cartoon My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic who is outside the target demographic of little girls, mostly guys from their teens to 30s. Though they face a fair amount of ridicule and bullying, the phenomenon has developed a massive online presence, local meet up groups, annual Bronycons, charity organizations, and other community endeavors. If you want more context, Lily recommends the trailer for the documentary Bronies: The Extremely Unexpected Adult Fans of My Little Pony.
