SUMMER REST!

Hurray! Summer is upon us. It is a time to look forward to, because there is an opportunity to break away from the routine of work. In order to have a good summer, you don’t have to travel or do anything expensive (good news for Cavanmen!). You just need to stay active and occupied, and have an open mind. Here’s some tips I read of recently: n Find comfortable shoes and clothing for the summer, depending on what you will be doing. Look for things that you like and feel comfortable in. n Turn off the TV. Unplug the DVD player. Get out of the house and get some fresh air! n Find a local park. Walks in a park can be the be one of the best things all summer. Oldest Family Furriers in the World n Be fit. Find a sport that you like. n Stay in touch with friends and family. Ask your friends and family what they are doing so you can get more invite you to their showrooms at ideas of what to do. n If you get bored one day, call a friend! n Have a Barbeque! 108 GRAFTON STREET n Read if you feel like you’re getting bored. Subscribe to a magazine if you don’t like books. DUBLIN 2 n Find someone who needs help with work. n Check out local museums. Museums in Dublin can be great way to pass the time as well as increase your knowledge. Marriage Jean Dixon will be dearly missed by all in Taney where, with her husband Willie, she served as Sexton, 11th April 2009 (in Christ Church) – Roland Matthews and Heather Dixon organised and helped for a time in the Parish Coffee Shop and with humility in service and her natural modesty offered friendship to all who came through our doors.

A thank you from the Dixon family I would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank all of our family and friends for their tremendous support both while Jean was in hospital and following her passing. The cards, calls and visitors have been a testament to us for how well she was liked.

I would also like to thank the clergy; Canon Sinnamon, Rev Niall, Rev Stephen, and Archdeacon David Pierpoint for their prayers, in the hospital, at our home and in church. Although we are still trying to come to terms with our huge loss everyone’s thoughtfulness & kindness is helping us along the way. Yours sincerely,

Willie, Elaine & Heather Dixon
