Note to Members of the Secretary-General's delegation for the visits to Senegal, Sierra Leone, Liberia and Guinea (6 - 10 July 1999)

1. The Secretary-General plans to pay official visits to Senegal, Sierra Leone, Liberia and Guinea from 6-10 July 1999, for meetings with senior officials and visits to United Nations operations.

2. A tentative itinerary for this trip is attached. Please note that we have approached the governments concerned, but are still awaiting confirmation of the suitability of the specific dates proposed.

3. . The composition of the Secretary-General's delegation for these visits is as follows:

4. As Senior Adviser, Mr. Fall will advise the Secretary-General, as appropriate, and provide substantive guidance to members of his delegation. As Trip Captain, Ms. Lindenmayer will be responsible for organisational aspects of the trip.
