The entrance of SAMCA Group in 1999 brought successive investments in new polymerization and spinning technologies. Now NUREL is the reliable and high quality supplier of reference of nylon yarns for the textile market. LOCAL PRODUCTION, GLOBAL PRESENCE NUREL has three differentiated business units: • Engineering Polymers • Biopolymers • Synthetic Fibers Over the years NUREL has achieved an overall turnover of 80 Million Euros, with a polymer capacity of 27,000 tons, and 7,500 tons of yarn production. Our site in Zaragoza employs overall 350 people. Approximately 70% of our fibers production is sold abroad to the main European and Asiatic markets. Textile solutions since 1968. 2 LEADING EUROPEAN TEXTILE INNOVATION At NUREL we currently have two cutting-edge nylon spinning plants and outstanding draw- warping facilities that enable us to offer a range of products for lingerie, swimwear, sports and various technical applications which are uniquely in the market and able to meet most demanding customer’s expectations. A continuous investment on R&D and state-of- the-art technologies demonstrates our deep commitment towards the future of the textile industry. Our innovation efforts are focussed on new technologies such as nanotechnology, smart textiles and other different programs of functional textiles. With more than 50 years producing polyamide fibers and polymers, our commercial and technical expertise makes NUREL a reliable supplier of Nylon. NUREL, Draw-warping section, 1968. 3 NYLON PRODUCTION, VERTICAL INTEGRATION MORE THAN 50 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE Our production of polymers and nylon yarns is fully integrated; our excellence is obtained thanks to our deep knowledge in polymer chemistry, the expertise in spinning of the most critical synthetic fibers, and our mastery in draw warping techniques. We have more than 50 years of experience in polyamide polymerization and spinning and we have the most advanced technology for the nylon fibers production. 4 NYLON PRODUCTION INTEGRATED FROM POLIMERIZATION In NUREL we have two polymerization plants and six process lines of great versatility for the production of multiple polymer recipes. Our two nylon spinning mills are feed by our own polyamide polymers. The installation of our spinning lines has always been done taking into account our business model where the versatility, quality and service of our products are determining. We have two sta-of-the- art spinning mills capable of producing 7500 tons of multi and micro filaments of nylon 6 and 66. We are involved in examining the cradle-to gate impacts of our products by initiating Life Cycle Assessments. These LCAs enable us to compare environmental impacts of similar products and processes.
