World Meeting Families – 2018 The 5th National Collection in support of the World Meeting of Families held last August, will be taken up after Holy Communion in all three churches this weekend – 10th & 11th November. Thank you for your continuing generosity.

Change of Mass Time – Killargue: With effect from this Saturday - 10th November 2018, the Saturday Evening Vigil Mass in Killargue has reverted to the earlier time of 7.00pm, for the winter months.

Why not as a family, remember your deceased loved ones in November There will be an opportunity to do so at Special Masses in the parish, as follows: Killargue Church on th Wednesday 28 November at 7.00pm; Dromahair Church on Friday 30th November at 8.00pm. Families will have an opportunity to place a remembrance candle before the Altar during Mass.

Church Notices: [A] Altar Servers for Dromahair in November 2018 – Group 1. Parents please note, if your child is unable to serve at Mass on any of the assigned dates, please arrange a replacement.

[B] World Mission Sunday: If you would like to contribute to the Mission Sunday collection or have forgotten, you will find the pink Mission Sunday Collection Envelope between the October and November envelopes in your Dues pack, or just use an ordinary envelope. Don’t forget to include your name and address. Thanks for your continuing generosity.

[C] November is the month when we remember our Departed Loved Ones and all the Holy Souls. You will find your List of the Dead and pink November Offering Envelope beside your November Dues Envelope. If you don't have an official Envelope & List, please use an ordinary envelope and mark it November List. Please include your Name & Address.

[D] Short Term Pledge for November: Many people choose to abstain from alcohol during the month of November and offer the sacrifice up for their deceased loved ones.

2. Clothing collection facility in The Depot Gate. Open all day, every day. New and used clean clothing, ladies, gents and children’s, shoes (pairs, clean), handbags & leather belts, blankets, bed sheets & pillow cases - clean, soft toys, teddys - no batteries. No duvets, pillows or cushions. Thank you for your support.

3. Garda Community Information Centre; opening in The Depot every Monday from 2pm-4pm - except Bank Holidays. General Garda Services and Information will be provided. This is a pilot scheme and its success depend on the support of the public. Please use the service when it’s made available locally.

4. The Backpack Program - pointing young people toward active self-awareness and development through study of relationships with self, others and God. This program is open to 12 - 18 years old and is done through workbook activities, games, music, fun and prayers. 5. A Mass for the deceased Members and Staff of Leitrim County Council; will be held in St. Mary’s Church, Carrick-on - Shannon on Monday 12th November 2018 at 8.00pm.

6. Dromahair Development Association/Tidy Towns: Extraordinary General Meeting will take place on Wednesday 21st November 2018 at 8.30pm in The Depot. Everyone welcome.

7. The students of College: Presents the musical "Grease" in Lough Allen College on the 21st,22nd and 23rd of November. Tickets may be purchased from the school, Breffini Stores Drumkeeran and Scollans’ Gala . The Parents association of Lough Allen College will run a raffle nightly and any donations towards the raffle would be greatly appreciated.

8. Feast of families in Knock Shrine! Come to Knock on Saturday 17th of November for a day filled with faith, food & fun! The celebration will include mass, individual talks for parents, young adults and children, games, adoration and individual blessing for each family. Knock is important for families as it is the place that Our Lady brought her family to bless the people of Ireland. The celebrant of the mass is Fr. Shane Sullivan & the speakers on the day are Fr. Breifne Historical Society Lectures: Lecture by Brendan Scott on Wednesday 21 November @ 8 pm in The Goods Store Belturbet, 'Sir Stephen Butler and other inhabitants of early Plantation Belturbet'. Lecture by Diarmuid Ferriter on Thursday December 6 @ 7 pm in Cavan Library, 'The Path of National Salvation?'. The Triumph of Sinn Fein in 1918.

10. Dromahair Library – DVD: As the winter evening draws in, why not come to Dromahair Library and check out the list of DVDs’ for loan. A wide range available in your nearest library today and others available to order. Visit your library or order on-line and get an email when the DVD is ready for collection. All DVD’s are FREE to check out so call Deirdre for assistance in Dromahair Library today. Remember we have that great BOOK to snuggle up with also.
