Lorain County, Ohio Hazard Mitigation Plan 2015 Appendix B: Lorain County Critical Facilities Lorain County has many facilities that are considered “critical” according to federal standards. For the purpose of the Multijurisdictional Natural Hazard Mitigation Plan, critical facilities have been listed that would provide necessary services during response and recovery from a natural disaster. These facilities include airports and heliports because they would provide critical access when roadways and rail lines were disrupted or not accessible. The list includes hospitals and urgent care centers, but only those located within Lorain County. Many facilities are accessible just into Cuyahoga or Medina Counties, but this lists those physically located in Lorain County. EMS, fire, and law enforcement stations are listed, including private ambulance that holds 9-1-1 contracts for service in many areas of the county. Educational institutions are listed because in the case of mass care and sheltering needs, the schools provide a majority of the shelter locations. Churches, on the other hand, are not listed because most do not meet the standards for sheltering such as having generators capable of powering the entire building. Many of the schools in Lorain County are relatively new buildings, and meet ADA requirements as well as alternate power equipped standards. Government buildings listed include city and village administrative buildings, utility offices, social services headquarters, and other service providing offices. The list also includes utilities such as municipal electric plants, water treatment plants, and sewage treatment plants. Highway garages and maintenance centers are included for their logistical value in support of operations, and for the supplies and resources housed there. The last section of critical facilities includes public gathering places and parks, libraries, and nature preserves. These are information centers for distribution of supplies, news, and for social gathering as a community would recover from a major disaster. We are proud to offer Clearview High School students an opportunity to participate in athletics. Incoming 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th Grade fall athletics information is online at Powerschool.clearviewregional.edu Fall Athletic paperwork submission begins Wednesday, June 15 through Friday, August 5, 2016 Go to Powerschool.clearviewregional.edu and click on the High School sports link in the left margin after logging in. (Your Powerschool account login is the same as the one used to access Powerschool in the Middle School. If you do not have this information, contact the main office at 223-2790). We offer numerous fall sports including cheerleading, boys’ and girls’ cross country, field hockey, football, boys’ and girls’ soccer, girls’ tennis, girls’ volleyball. Follow the directions on that page regarding required paperwork that you will print directly from there. Print, sign and return the pre-participation physical examination form (to be completed by you and your doctor), or the health history update (if necessary), parent permission form, parent-student athlete handbook form, the NJSIAA steroid testing policy and the Clearview drug testing policy. All forms must be received in the High School Nurse’s office by Friday, August 5. All fall high school sports begin on Monday, August 15. (Football begins Tuesday, August 9. That paperwork is due Monday, August 1).

Students must adhere to social distancing while in school. Students are required to bring bookbags this school year as there will be NO lockers assigned. Students are encouraged to bring clear water bottles. Water fountains will be turned off. However, our hydration stations will be open. School Day Schedule Students will attend on a A/B hybrid model as described in Clearview’s 2020-2021 Reopening Plan Students with last names A-L will begin on Monday, August 31st Students with last names M-Z will begin on Thursday, September 3rd There are no after school clubs at this time. Athletics will continue as planned. Dismissal of Students If picking up early, parents must call first and wait outside after ringing the bell. Parents or Guardians MUST call the office to designate someone else picking up their child. Photo ID’s will be required We ask that you please schedule appointments on days that are not the “in person” school days whenever possible. Attendance will be taken daily. School fees will only apply to students on the hybrid model. Breakfast & Lunches Students will eat breakfast in their 1st period classrooms.

LAKEWOOD HIGH SCHOOL GARFIELD AND HARDING MIDDLE SCHOOL Revised 6/1/20 2 Rangers, Anyone that attended our athletic contest could see the vast improvement of the teams and individuals that took advantage of the new weight room in the off season. I couldn’t be more proud of our student athletes that made a commitment to getting stronger. We must continue building our minds and body in order to compete at a high level and maximize each student’s athletic potential. This takes initial effort from the student and support from the school, parents and coaches through the student’s athletic journey. We will move from the Southwestern Conference to the Great Lakes Conference for the 2020-2021 school year. This conference will help give our athletes and teams competitive balance across the entire program for each sport. We will meet some huge challenges down the road. COVID-19 will test all of us. I believe we will overcome this challenge with continued education about the virus and everyone doing their part to be safe and supportive. I will direct my coaching staff to highlight one action this school year. That action will be to fill student’s “Emotional Tank”. Many have lost a sports season and most have lost valuable time in the weight room and had to deal with the disconnection from school. This has been difficult on all of us.

    Foreword This booklet has been prepared as a reference guide concerning athletic policies, procedures, regulations, existing rules and information now in effect for Clearview Regional High School and Middle School. It is hoped that this booklet will contribute to a better understanding of policies and procedures thereby conferring a harmonious and efficient athletic program. As a parent it is imperative to know, understand, and impress upon your son(s) and/or daughter(s) that they are students first and athletes second. Being a student first is a year long commitment. The achievements attained by our teams will be reflected in positive memories, experiences and successes created by the students both on the field and in the classroom. It is our duty and obligation to positively contribute in the development of a well-rounded and experienced student. As we all know, athletics can play a tremendous role throughout this development of your student athlete(s). Certainly, from time to time, our policies and regulations may change.
