The schemes within the 2015/16 Engineering Capital Links to Community Strategy: Programme seek to provide an improved and more sustainable highway related asset for the residents and businesses of Tameside, thereby contributing to a safe environment, continuing economic regeneration and contributing to a low carbon economy; key priorities within the 2012-22 Tameside Sustainable Community Strategy. Policy Implications: The proposed funding allocation supports the Council's Corporate Plan priorities around the Sustainable Community Strategy. Financial Implications: The Engineering Maintenance Block Allocation for 2015/16 totals £2.322M.
