Background Effective from 28 January 2013, there are changes to some school bus services operated by Runcimans. These changes include discontinuing some school services, variations to some services and the introduction of some new services. These changes are detailed below; Chilton St James Routes to be discontinued at the end of 2012 school year: Route Discontinued Changes and Alternative Public Transport Options 912 Upper Hutt passengers will be able to use school bus route Fergusson Rest Home Upper 904. Hutt – Chilton St James Stokes Valley passengers can use public bus route 120 or 121. 974 Passengers will be able to use school bus route 970 which Porirua – Wa Ora will service Chilton St James school. Montessori 975 Passengers will be able to use school bus route 970 which Porirua - Chilton will service Chilton St James school. Fergusson Intermediate Routes to be discontinued at the end of 2012 school year: Route Discontinued Alternative Public Transport Options 908 Passengers will be able to use school bus route 915 from Silverstream – Fergusson Silverstream. Intermediate Heretaunga College Routes to be discontinued at the end of 2012 school year: Route Discontinued Alternative Public Transport Options 900 Passengers will be able to use public bus route 110. Brown Owl – Maidstone Intermediate. (This is a morning only service) 926 The morning service will continue unchanged. Heretaunga College – Totara The afternoon services commencing at Heretaunga College Park. and Upper Hutt College will be combined. HIBS Route to be changed at the beginning of the 2013 school year: Route Changed Changes and Alternative Public Transport Options 951 Taita and Stokes Valley to be deleted from this route. Passengers Boulcott - HIBS will be able to use public bus route 110. Route to take in Melling, lower Belmont and lower Kelson. Passengers from Boulcott and Epuni will not be affected by the changes. Routes to be discontinued at the end of 2012 school year: Route Discontinued Alternative Public Transport Options 928 Passengers from Te Marua will be able to use public bus route 112 Te Marua - HIBS and then transfer to route 110 at Upper Hutt Station. Passengers from between Emerald Hill and Trentham will be able to use public bus route 110. 961 Passengers from Waterloo will be able to use public bus route 110 or Wainuiomata - HIBS the train. Passengers from Melling will be able to use school bus route 951. Passengers from Wainuiomata will be able to use public bus route 160/170 and transfer to route 110 or take the train from Waterloo Station. 976 Passengers will be able to use school bus route 970, route 971 and Papakowhai - HIBS route 973 serving Papakowhai, Paremata, Plimmerton, and Whitby areas with the possibility of transferring between buses at Moonshine Rd. School bus route 971 & route 973 will go to HIBS. Route 950 Passengers from Petone will be able to use public bus Route 110 or Alicetown - HIBS the train. Passengers from the Western Hills will be able to use public bus Route 150 and then transfer to Route 110 or take the train from Waterloo Station. Passengers boarding at Grounsell Cres, Belmont Flat and Kelson layby will be able to use school Route 951 which will be modified to service these areas Route 963 Passengers from Eastbourne will be able to use public bus Route 83 Eastbourne - HIBS and transfer to Route 110 at Queensgate or take the train from Woburn Station. Passengers from Waterloo will be able to use public bus Route 110 or take the train from Waterloo Station. Maidstone Intermediate Routes to be discontinued at the end of 2012 school year: Route Discontinued Alternative Public Transport Options 900 Passengers will be able to use public bus route 110 or Brown Owl – Maidstone school bus route 905 from Birchville. Intermediate. (This is a morning only service) Oxford Crescent School Routes to be discontinued at the end of 2012 school year: Route Discontinued Alternative Public Transport Options 907 Passengers will be able to use public bus route 110 to St Joseph’s – Brown Owl Birchville or route 112 to Timberlea. (This is a PM only service) 925 Passengers will be able to use school bus route 935 from Totara Park – St Joseph’s School Totara Park. School bus route 935 has been modified to include Oxford Crescent school as of 28th January 2013. Rudolf Steiner School Route to be discontinued at the end of 2012 school year: Route Discontinued Alternative Public Transport Options 903 Discussions are continuing between Rudolf Steiner and NZ Te Marua – Rudolf Steiner Bus regarding school services for the Hutt Valley and Wellington. Discussions are continuing with Rudolf Steiner regarding the following routes: 933 – Upper Hutt to Rudolf Steiner; 981 – Wellington to Rudolf Steiner. Sacred Heart College Routes to be changed effective at the beginning of the 2013 school year: Route Changed Changes and Alternative Public Transport Options 924 Totara Park segment to be deleted from this route. Passengers Totara Park – Sacred will be able to use public bus route 111 then transfer to school Heart Routes 924 or 931 departing from Upper Hutt Station at 7:57am. Afternoon routes 931, 919 & 924 will arrive at Upper Hutt Station at 3:55pm, 3:58pm and 4pm respectively. 931 Te Marua/Maymorn/Birchville areas to be deleted from this Maymorn – Sacred Heart route. Passengers will be able to use public bus routes 112 and College 110 and then transfer to school bus routes 924 or 931 departing from Upper Hutt Station at 7:57am. Afternoon routes 931, 919 & 924 will arrive at Upper Hutt Station at 3:55pm, 3:58pm and 4pm respectively. Routes to be discontinued at the end of 2012 school year: Route Discontinued Alternative Public Transport Options 910 Passengers will be able to use school bus routes 924 or 931 from Upper Hutt – Sacred Upper Hutt Station or school bus route 919 from Silverstream to Heart College Sacred Heart. 932 (Late afternoon service) Passengers will be able to use public bus Sacred Heart – Te route 110. Marua Route to be introduced effective at the beginning of the 2013 school year: Route Introduced Description 919 This will be a joint Sacred Heart/St Orans service. Silverstream – Sacred Morning service will commence at Silverstream Train Station at Heart 8:10 am and travel via SH2 and Kennedy Good Bridge to St Orans and then Sacred Heart. Afternoon service will commence at St Orans, continue on to Sacred Heart and then travel to Upper Hutt Station via Kennedy Good Bridge, SH2 and Fergusson Drive. St Joseph’s School Routes to be discontinued at the end of 2012 school year: Route Discontinued Alternative Public Transport Options 907 (Afternoon only) Passengers will be able to use public bus route 110 to Birchville or St Joseph’s – Brown public route 112 to Timberlea. Owl 925 Passengers will be able to use school bus route 935 from Totara Totara Park – St Park. School bus route 935 has been modified to include St Joseph’s Joseph’s School school as of 28th January 2013. St Oran’s College Route to be changed effective at the beginning of the 2013 school year: Route Changed Changes and Alternative Public Transport Options 911 Stokes Valley segment to be deleted from this route. Stokes Valley Upper Hutt Station - passengers will be able to use public bus routes 120, 121 or 110 from St Orans Stokes Valley. 917 The only change to this service is the route number. The route itself St Orans – Upper will remain unchanged. The school bus route number will change from Hutt Station route 917 to 911 to match the corresponding morning service. Routes to be discontinued at the end of 2012 school year: Route Discontinued Changes and Alternative Public Transport Options 913 Passengers will be able to use school bus route 911 from Upper Hutt Silverstream – St or school bus route 919 from Silverstream. Oran’s 918 Passengers from Upper Hutt will be able to use school bus routes 911 St Orans to (currently known as route 917) and 919 from St Orans to Upper Hutt. Pinehaven Passengers travelling to Pinehaven can use route 911 (stopping opposite Silverstream Station – Fergusson Drive at approximately 3:35pm) and transfer to public bus Route 115 departing the ‘Silverstream Station – Gard St’ bus stop at 3:47pm. Students travelling to Stokes Valley can use public Routes 120, 121 or 110. St Oran’s College Route to be introduced effective at the beginning of the 2013 school year: Route Introduced Description 919 This will be a joint Sacred Heart/St Orans service. Silverstream – Sacred Morning service will commence at Silverstream Train Station at Heart 8:10 am and travel via SH2 and Kennedy Good Bridge to St Orans and then Sacred Heart. Afternoon service will commence at St Orans, continue on to Sacred Heart and then travel to Upper Hutt Station via Kennedy Good Bridge, SH2 and Fergusson Drive. St Patrick’s College, Silverstream Routes to be discontinued at the end of 2012 school year: Route Discontinued Alternative Public Transport Options 902 Passengers will be able to use school bus route 901 or public bus (Afternoon Only) route 110 from St Patricks. Passengers will be able to transfer to St Patricks - Te Marua public bus route 111 to Totara Park and public bus route 112 to Te Marua. 952 Passengers will be able to use school bus route 951 from Waterloo – St Patricks Avalon/Hutt Central/Melling areas. Passengers currently boarding Silverstream at Waterloo train station will be able to use the train service. 960 Passengers from Stokes Valley will be able to use school bus route Wainuiomata – St 953 or public bus route 110.
