Whereas, the Government of Jammu & Kashmir by notification under Rule 7 of the Jammu & Kashmir Panchayati Raj Rules, 1996, published in the Government Gazette on 14th March, 2011, has called upon the Panchayat Halqas of the State to elect Sarpanches and Panches. The Counting of votes will take place at 3:00 p.m. on the same day at a place to be notified by the concerned District Panchayat Election Officer (Deputy Commissioner).
