Jazz is a musical genre in motion, reflecting a variety of influences, and we strive to bring that variety to you in our offerings. We’re welcoming exciting new jazz bands as well as bringing back perennial favorites. We’ve lined up two distinct and imaginative evenings exploring musical influences from great films, and two evenings that will transport you to New Orleans. Last year marked the debut of an exciting new residency and concert program with jazz musician, Derek Douget. Douget and his colleagues represent some of the top jazz teaching institutions in the country and a tradition of New Orleans jazz. It was a huge success, and we’re looking forward to welcoming them back March 11-15. Series Tickets go on sale Thursday, July 24 at Lobero.org or by calling the Box Office at 805.963.0761.
