“THE RHYTHM OF LIFE” Grand Chapter of – 2021 Hotel Reservation Instructions

MEETING NAME: Colorado Order of the Eastern Star DATE: September 20-26, 2021 LOCATION: Radisson Hotel Southeast 3155 S. Vaughn Way, Aurora, CO 80014 (Located near 1-225 and South Parker Road) ROOM RATE: The Special Rate is $118.00, plus $2.00 Aurora Destination Marketing Fee, plus 12.25% tax (for a total of $134.46 per night) and is only available for Monday, September 20th thru Sunday, September 26th. We hope the extended dates will accommodate those wishing to visit Colorado for an extended stay. Up to 4 people can share the room at this rate. When you book your reservation, you will choose either 2 Double Beds or 1 King Bed and need to be prepared to give the hotel the names of ALL persons sharing the room. Rooms at our special rate are based on availability so please try and make your reservations as soon as possible.

ALL RESERVATIONS AT THIS SPECIAL RATE MUST BE MADE NO LATER THAN, SEPTEMBER 1, 2021.

NOTE: Check in time is 2:00 pm and check out time is 12:00 pm.

Cancellation: There is a 24-hour cancellation policy. If you are a no call/no show on the FIRST DAY of your reservation, your credit card will be charged for one night’s lodging, the remainder of the reservation will be cancelled and the Grand Chapter will lose credit for the cancelled room nights. If you make a reservation for the convention, but check out prior to the end of your reserved nights, a $50.00 fee will be charged to you by the hotel.

Refrigerators: Refrigerators/Microwaves are available on a first come — first serve basis. If you require a refrigerator for medical reasons, make sure you let them know when booking your room so you will not be charged. If you want a refrigerator for personal use, there will be a $5.00/day charge.

Radisson Rewards: Personal Radisson Rewards points cannot be redeemed as payment for our block of rooms; however, Reward points can be earned for your stay. If you would like to accumulate points for your stay be prepared to give your Rewards Membership Number when reserving your room or at check-in.

If you use a Travel Agent to book your reservations, please make sure the agent tells them you are booking for attendance at the “Colorado Order of the Eastern Star Convention” and uses our booking code “COES21.” If they do not book under that code, then we will not receive information from the Hotel that they are attending our session. This is important for everyone however, it is especially important for our out-of-state guests because we want to be able to include you in all of our activities and without confirmation of your reservations you may get “lost in the shuffle”. It’s also important because we will not get the credit for your room stay if you are not recognized as a part of our group. Thank you for your understanding.

TRANSPORTATION INFORMATION

DENVER INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (DIA) Taxi, Uber and Lyft services are available on the Baggage Claim Level. You can also take the light rail. Tell them you want to go to the “Nine Mile Light Rail Station at Parker Road & I-225.” It’s about an hour and a half ride. You will need to exit at the station and then walk to the hotel for about 12 minutes under the bridge. **These services would be at your own expense.

DIRECTIONS TO THE HOTEL From Denver International Airport (DIA): Exit the airport onto Peña Blvd. Travel 12 miles and then take the left ramp onto I-70W for 1.6 miles. Take Exit 282/Colorado Springs/Peoria St onto I-225 South toward Aurora/Colorado Springs. Go 8.7 miles and take Exit 4/Parker Road (CO-83S). The Parker Road exit becomes two lanes. Stay in the left lane to exit. The exit loops and outs you into the far-right land of Parker Road, heading south. From the right lane, exit onto Vaughn Way/Dam Road. The exit loops around. Turn right at the stop light onto Vaughn Way. Cross under Parker Road and the hotel is on the left, just past the first light.

From the North using I-25: Head South on I-25. Use the left two lanes to take exit 217B to merge onto I-270E toward Aurora/Limon. Merge onto I-70E. Use the right 3 lanes to take exit 282for I-225/I- 225Stoward Aurora/Colorado Springs. Continue onto I-225 S. Go 8.7 miles and take Exit 4/Parker Road (CO-83S). The Parker Road exit becomes two lanes. Stay in the left lane to exit. The exit loops and puts you into the far- right lane of Parker Road, heading south. From the right lane, exit onto Vaughn Way/Dam Road. The exit loops around. Turn right at the stop light onto Vaughn Way. Cross under Parker Road and the hotel is on the left, just past the first light.

From Colorado Springs using I-25: Head North on I-25. Take exit 200 (using the right 2 lanes) for I-225 N toward I-70/Limon. Stay in the right lane to exit onto Parker Road heading South. Take exit 4/Parker Road (CO-83S). The Parker Road exit becomes two lanes. Stay in the right lane to exit. From the right lane, exit onto Vaughn Way/Dam Road. The exit loops around. Turn right at the stop light onto Vaughn Way. Cross under Parker Road and the hotel is on the left, just past the first light.
