I am so grateful to everyone at Risen Christ for helping mold my son into the man he is today. — Susan Sturms Anthony’s story, and countless others like his, are why Risen Christ exists. They illustrate the power of a transformative Catholic education. Of course none of us can provide this education by ourselves. We rely on teachers, staff, volunteers and benefactors to ensure that we are able to continue to provide an education that benefits students like Anthony for many years to come. Principal ¡Doble Immersion empieza a Risen Christ! his year 40 kindergarten students learned core curriculum in both English and Spanish as we rolled out the two-way immersion program. Risen Christ is the first Catholic school in Minnesota to offer two-way immersion classes. We are one of only TT19 Catholic schools throughout the country to offer this specialized programming. I At home, 77 percent of Risen Christ students speak a language other than English. In most cases the language they speak and hear when they are not in school is Spanish. We are capitalizing on the students’ native culture and language when we teach in both languages.
