All organizations and families are encouraged to participate in this annual statewide event to help keep our beaches clean and safe and protect our coastal environment. (Because of conflicts with other events, Ocean City’s Beach Sweep falls on a different date this year than other similar cleanups throughout the state.) You get "Ballroom With A Twist". Watching the cha-cha rattle on the television screen is one thing, but getting up close and live beneath the fringe, sequins, and booming sounds of Rumba bass is a whole other ballgame. Ballroom With A Twist brings a frenzy of sizzling dance moves by professional international dancers spanning the hot moves of Samba, Waltz, Foxtrot, Quickstep, and Jive. As if the jaw-dropping dancers aren't enough to keep you ogling at smooth moves and high kicks, several of your favorite American Idol finalists will also be joining the bill with their powerhouse hit songs. In 2011, at the inaugural year of the Orlando Fest competition, they received a Gold trophy, a Superior Rating, as well as, the Grand Champion Trophy, against six other orchestras! In 2014, they traveled to Charlotte, NC, where they competed in the Carowinds Music Festival. There they received a Superior Rating with A+ scores in every adjudicated category, plus a standing ovation from all three judges!! In 2016, they traveled back to the OrlandoFest competition, where they repeated their previous success, in addition to winning the newly created, National Championship Trophy!
