While Goffs UK’s flagship yearling sale has long marked the Admiral Nelson (Kingman), pictured winning on debut start of the British yearling sales season, due to the re-shuffling of at the Curragh in June, was a sale record purchase by the calendar, this year the auction raises the curtain on the busy M V Magnier for £440,000 at the Goffs UK Premier Yearling European season. The consignors with the most yearlings on offer this year are Tally-Ho Stud (24), Trickledown Stud (18), Yeomanstown Stud Ribchester, (15) and Lynn Lodge Stud and Furnace Mill Stud (12 each). The most numerously-represented stallions are Kodiac and the European Champion Profitable (19 each), Acclamation and Aclaim (15), Dandy Man miler at both three and and El Kabeir (14), and Bated Breath and Ribchester (13). four. He is out of a half-sister to three Listed winners, one of them the dam of Gr.1 Prix de l’Abbaye winner Maarek, and his further family includes Group winners Anita’s Prince, Swiss Spirit and Swiss Diva. He has a first crop of around 87 and has 12 First yearlings catalogued here. Coolmore’s CARAVAGGIO went unbeaten in four starts at two, selling now. including the Gr.2 Coventry Stakes and Gr.1 Phoenix Stakes, and went on to land the Gr.1 Commonwealth Cup and Gr.2 (then) Flying Five Stakes at three.
