The presence of the hyperoccipital carina, convex frons, absence of notauli, and elongate postmarginal vein (longer than the stigmal vein) in the fore wing are characteristics delimiting the gonopsidis-group. These species differ from the flavipes- group only in the lack of notauli. Kozlov and Kononova placed three species in the gonopsidis-group: T. mentha Kozlov and Lê, T. gonopsidis (Watanabe), and T. elasmuchae (Watanabe). In a taxonomic study of the Trissolcus species of Korea and Japan, Ryu and Hirashima (1984) reported three other species with characteristics of the gonopsidis-group: T. nigripedius (Nakagawa), T. itoi Ryu and T. yamagishi Ryu. Most of these species are known only from Japan or Korea. Trissolcus elasmuchae has been observed in Ukraine and Russia as well as Japan, and T. -

Parmi ces publications il convient de signaler la « Checklist » de FARACI & RIZZOTTI-VLACH (1995) pour l’Italie, celle de V. PUTSHKOV & P. PUTSHKOV (1997) pour l’Ukraine, la seconde édition du « Verzeichnis der Wanzen Mitteleuropas » par GÜNTHER & SCHUSTER (2000) et l’impressionnante contribution de DOLLING (2006) dans le « Catalogue of the Heteroptera of the Palaearctic Region ». E, Riverside, CA 92501, USA dCollege of Life Sciences, Peking Univerisity, Beijing, China Received 5 May 2005; received in revised form 29 November 2005; accepted 29 November 2005 Abstract Glassy-winged sharpshooter, Homalodisca coagulata (Say), is an efficient vector of Xylella fastidiosa (Xf), the causal bacterium of Pierce’s disease, and leaf scorch in almond and oleander. Acquisition and inoculation of Xf occur sometime during the process of stylet penetration into the plant. That process is most rigorously studied via electrical penetration graph (EPG) monitoring of insect feeding. This study provides part of the crucial biological meanings that define the waveforms of each new insect species recorded by EPG. By synchronizing AC EPG waveforms with high-magnification video of H. coagulata stylet penetration in artifical diet, we correlated stylet activities with three previously described EPG pathway waveforms, A1, B1 and B2, as well as one ingestion waveform, C. Waveform A1 occured at the beginning of stylet penetration. This waveform was correlated with salivary sheath trunk formation, repetitive stylet movements involving retraction of both maxillary stylets and one mandibular stylet, extension of the stylet fascicle, and the fluttering-like movements of the maxillary stylet tips. -

AND SOME OTHER CQREIDAE (HETEROPTERA) PAVEL STYS (Chair of Systematic Zoology, Charles University, Praha) Introduction · Leston (1957) has summarized the knowledge of stridulatory mecha- . nisms in terrestrial species of Heteroptera. The ability to stridulate was ascertained in 11 terrestrial families of bugs, and 14 types of stridulatory organs have already been registered. In a number of groups (Acanthoso midae, some subfamilies of Pentatomidae, Coreidae) the ability to stridu late was ascertained, but the stridulatory mechanisms have not yet been discovered. It follows from the Leston's summary that the ability to stridulate was alreadyregistered in 3 genera of the family Coreidae: Phyllomorpha Lap., Spathocera Stein and Centrocoris Kolen. However, the stridulatory mechanism is still not known in any of these genera*). Saunders (1893) had noticed that Centrocoris spiniger (Fabricius, 1781) "stridulates loudly", but he did not give more particulars. During my excursion to the western coast of the Caucasus in June 1960 I had an opportunity to collect the mentioned species, to observe its stridulation and to discover its stridulatory meC1hanism. Field observations Centrocoris spiniger (F.) is very common insect on the western coast of the Caucasus. In the period 21st to 28th June 1960 I found it many times (also in copula) in several places near the towns Tuapse and Sochi, always associated with its host-plant Anthemis tinctoria L. (det. V. Ska licky). I failed to hear stridulation of the free specimens on the plants. -

The species represents the first definitive Mesozoic record for the Coreoidea. A cladistic analysis of Coreoidea, including the new family, is undertaken. INTRODUCTION The Pentatomomorpha with its 14 000 known living species (WEIRAUCH & SCHUH 2011) is the second largest of the seven heteropteran infraorders (SCHAEFER 1993, ŠTYS & KERZHNER 1975) (Enicocephalomorpha, Dipsocoromorpha, Gerromorpha, Nepomorpha, Leptodomorpha, Cimicomorpha, and Pentatomorpha). Most authors recognize five superfamilies within Pentatomomorpha, but there remains controversy regarding the 628 Polish Journal of Entomology 80 (4) composition of these superfamilies (SCHAEFER 1993, ŠTYS 1961). -

Novembre 2019 « Punaises » de Savoie Etat des connaissances en 2019 Familles des Pentatomidae, Scutelleridae, Cydnidae, Acanthosomatidae, Thyreocoridae, Plataspidae Les « PUNAISES » de Savoie Liste illustrée des espèces, état 2019 André MIQUET Conservatoire d’Espaces naturels de Savoie (CEN Savoie), décembre 2019 Méconnues et mal aimées … Il n’est pas exagéré de dire que les punaises ne bénéficient ni de bataillons de naturalistes dédiés, ni d’un capital sympathie démesuré auprès du grand public. L’imaginaire collectif ne trouve aucune vertu à ces insectes exclusivement associés à des nuisances, notamment olfactives ... Le sous-ordre des hétéroptères (punaises et gendarmes) sont des insectes souvent plus ou moins aplatis, aux ailes en partie durcie, souvent colorées. Prédateurs ou phytophages, leur appareil buccal piqueur-suceur leur permet d’aspirer la lymphe des chenilles comme la sève des plantes. Le CEN Savoie pend en charge leur connaissance dans ce département dans le cadre de sa stratégie envers les « groupes orphelins ». Les Hétéroptères comportant 1400 espèces en France, il est proposé de focaliser sur le groupe des Pentatomoides, et ce pour trois raisons : - « seulement » 120 espèces en France, - la plupart identifiables sur (bonnes) photos macros, - guide national et atlas régional (Franche-Comté) récemment parus. Ce groupe est donc à même de bénéficier d’une meilleure prise en compte, en attendant un atlas de répartition, une liste d’espèces déterminantes ZNIEFF, une liste rouge, et une stratégie de conservation. Au- delà de leurs deux espèces exogènes, bien loin de n’être qu’une « nuisance », les punaises sont avant tout une partie intégrante de notre patrimoine naturel ! … désormais prêtes à « sortir de l’ombre » en Savoie Afin de promouvoir et faciliter leur identification en vue d’un pré-atlas de répartition, 79 espèces connues ou à rechercher en Savoie sont présentées. -

Many species are phytophagous and cause injuries to plants, and can thus be defined as agricultural pests. In this study, the anatomy of the female and male reproductive tracts of three important agricultural pests in Colombia is described: Piezodorus guildinii Westwood, 1837 and Chinavia ubica Rolston 1983, found on soybeans, and Oebalus insularis Stål, 1872, found in rice crops. For that, light microscopy techniques were used. The anatomy of the reproductive tract of sexually mature males of the three species studied consisted of a pair of testes, vas deferens, seminal vesicles, ejaculatory bulb, an ejaculatory duct that opens into an aedeagus, and paired accessory glands. -

Diagonal 645, 08028 Barcelona, Spain – [email protected] Abstract: A checklist of 43 Heteropteran species collected in the area of influence of Can Coll School of Nature is given. By its rarity in the Catalan fauna, the mirid Deraeocoris (D.) schach (Fabricius, 1781) and the pentatomid Sciocoris (N.) maculatus Fieber, 1851 are interesting species. Plus being rare species, the mirid Macrotylus (A.) solitarius (Meyer-Dür, 1843) and the pentatomid Sciocoris (S.) umbrinus (Wolff, 1804) are new records for the Natural Park. The mirids Alloetomus germanicus Wagner, 1939 and Amblytylus brevicollis Fieber, 1858, and the pentatomid Eysarcoris aeneus (Scopoli, 1763) are new contributions for the Park checklist. The Heteropteran richness of Can Coll suggests them as study group for the environmental education goals of this School of Nature.
