Munis Entomology & Zoology, 12 (1): 328-331] ABSTRACT: In this project the fauna of 8 families dependent to infraorders Pentatomomorpha, Nepomorpha, Gerromorpha, Leptopodomorpha (Hemiptera: Heteroptera) including Pentatomoidae, Coreidae, Scutelleridae, Corixidae, Notonectidae, Gerridae, Hydrometridae, Saldidae we studied in Varzaqan and its vicinity, East-Azarbaijan provonce in the northwest of Iran. During 2011-2013 totally 24 species from 21 genera were identified. KEY WORDS: Hemiptera, Heteroptera, Varzeghan, Iran The true bugs (Hemiptera: Heteroptera) are aquatic, semi-aquatic and terrestrial species. Some terrestrials live in concealed habitats (e.g. beneath litter or bark, in the soil, etc.) (Anufriev et al., 1998). Corixidae feed on algae and small aquatic animals; all other water bugs, all bugs living on the surface of water (water striders) and at the shores (Saldidae, Ochteridae) are predacious. Most Pentatomomorpha are phytophagous, only some Lygaeidae and Pentatomidae secondarily became predacious (Anufriev et al., 1998). The terrestrial Heteroptera deposit eggs in plant tissues (Miridae, Nabidae, etc.) or lay them on the surface of plants and other objects (Reduviidae, all Pentatomomorpha) (Anufriev et al., 1998). Varzeghan is a county which situated in East Azarbaijan province and jointed with Arasbaran protected area at the north west of Iran. The fauna of Heteroptera from northwest of Iran was so far studied and published by Modarres (1987 & 1996), Farshbaf (2000), Sadeghi (2004), Sadaghian et al. (2004), Khalilzadeh et al. (2005), Askari et al. (2009), Gharaat et al. (2009), Hassanzadeh et al. (2009 a,b), Nateq Golestan et al. (2010), Havaskary et al. (2010, 2012), Nikdel et al. (2011). This research aimed to identification of recently collected Heteroptera from Varzegan region. MATERIAL AND METHOD The terrestrial specimens were collected by sweeping net, light trap, aspirator. Samplings were made durin 2011-2013. In aquatic collecting, nets were used to sweep the surface of the water. Identifications of the species were confirmed by Dr. P. Moulet (Museum Requien, France). The examined material was deposited at the Entomology Laboratory of Tabriz Islamic Azad University. _____________Mun. Ent. Zool. Vol. 12, No. 1, January 2017__________ 329 RESULTS In the current project 24 species from 22 genera and 8 families were collected and identified. All of the species are new for Varzegan County. The presence of the hyperoccipital carina, convex frons, absence of notauli, and elongate postmarginal vein (longer than the stigmal vein) in the fore wing are characteristics delimiting the gonopsidis-group. These species differ from the flavipes- group only in the lack of notauli. Kozlov and Kononova placed three species in the gonopsidis-group: T. mentha Kozlov and Lê, T. gonopsidis (Watanabe), and T. elasmuchae (Watanabe). In a taxonomic study of the Trissolcus species of Korea and Japan, Ryu and Hirashima (1984) reported three other species with characteristics of the gonopsidis-group: T. nigripedius (Nakagawa), T. itoi Ryu and T. yamagishi Ryu. Most of these species are known only from Japan or Korea. Trissolcus elasmuchae has been observed in Ukraine and Russia as well as Japan, and T.

Acquisition and inoculation of Xf occur sometime during the process of stylet penetration into the plant. That process is most rigorously studied via electrical penetration graph (EPG) monitoring of insect feeding. This study provides part of the crucial biological meanings that define the waveforms of each new insect species recorded by EPG. By synchronizing AC EPG waveforms with high-magnification video of H. coagulata stylet penetration in artifical diet, we correlated stylet activities with three previously described EPG pathway waveforms, A1, B1 and B2, as well as one ingestion waveform, C. Waveform A1 occured at the beginning of stylet penetration. This waveform was correlated with salivary sheath trunk formation, repetitive stylet movements involving retraction of both maxillary stylets and one mandibular stylet, extension of the stylet fascicle, and the fluttering-like movements of the maxillary stylet tips.

  • Štys P. the Stridulatory Mechanism in Centrocoris Spiniger (F.)
ACTA ENTOMOLOGICA MUSEI NATIONALIS PRAGAE 1 9 6 1, X X X I V, 59 2 !--- THE STRIDULATORY MECHANISM IN CENTROCORIS SPINIGER (F.) AND SOME OTHER CQREIDAE (HETEROPTERA) PAVEL STYS (Chair of Systematic Zoology, Charles University, Praha) Introduction · Leston (1957) has summarized the knowledge of stridulatory mecha- . nisms in terrestrial species of Heteroptera. The ability to stridulate was ascertained in 11 terrestrial families of bugs, and 14 types of stridulatory organs have already been registered. In a number of groups (Acanthoso midae, some subfamilies of Pentatomidae, Coreidae) the ability to stridu late was ascertained, but the stridulatory mechanisms have not yet been discovered. It follows from the Leston's summary that the ability to stridulate was alreadyregistered in 3 genera of the family Coreidae: Phyllomorpha Lap., Spathocera Stein and Centrocoris Kolen. However, the stridulatory mechanism is still not known in any of these genera*). Saunders (1893) had noticed that Centrocoris spiniger (Fabricius, 1781) "stridulates loudly", but he did not give more particulars. During my excursion to the western coast of the Caucasus in June 1960 I had an opportunity to collect the mentioned species, to observe its stridulation and to discover its stridulatory meC1hanism. Field observations Centrocoris spiniger (F.) is very common insect on the western coast of the Caucasus. In the period 21st to 28th June 1960 I found it many times (also in copula) in several places near the towns Tuapse and Sochi, always associated with its host-plant Anthemis tinctoria L. (det. V. Ska licky). I failed to hear stridulation of the free specimens on the plants.

A new genus and species, Yuripopovina magnifica, belonging to a new coreoid family, Yuripopovinidae (Hemiptera: Pentatomomorpha), is described and illustrated from the Lower Cretaceous amber of Lebanon. The species represents the first definitive Mesozoic record for the Coreoidea. A cladistic analysis of Coreoidea, including the new family, is undertaken. KEY WORDS: Pentatomomorpha, Coreoidea, Yuripopovinidae, fam. n., gen. n., sp. n., Lebanon, phylogeny. INTRODUCTION The Pentatomomorpha with its 14 000 known living species (WEIRAUCH & SCHUH 2011) is the second largest of the seven heteropteran infraorders (SCHAEFER 1993, ŠTYS & KERZHNER 1975) (Enicocephalomorpha, Dipsocoromorpha, Gerromorpha, Nepomorpha, Leptodomorpha, Cimicomorpha, and Pentatomorpha). Most authors recognize five superfamilies within Pentatomomorpha, but there remains controversy regarding the 628 Polish Journal of Entomology 80 (4) composition of these superfamilies (SCHAEFER 1993, ŠTYS 1961).

  • Punaises » De Savoie Etat Des Connaissances En 2019 Familles Des Pentatomidae, Scutelleridae, Cydnidae, Acanthosomatidae, Thyreocoridae, Plataspidae

(1954) placed the Coreoidea within infraorder Valley National Park, Jagdalpur respectively and Pentatomomorpha. The superfamily includes fi ve Biswas and Ghosh (1995) from Indravati Tiger families: Alydidae (broad headed bugs), Coreidae Reserve. The present study revealed an account (Leaf-footed bugs or Squash bugs), Rhopalidae of 23 species belonging to 16 genera under 4 (Scentless plant bugs), Stenocephalidae (confi ned families of superfamily Coreoidea from the state to Eastern Hemisphere) and Hyocephalidae of Chhattisgarh, out of this 5 species under 5 (endemic to Australia), comprising of 2376 species genera have already been recorded and rest of the from the world (Henry 2009). Of these, about 200 18 species under 11 genera are new record to the species under 60 genera are so far known from state. The material studied was collected during India including 78 endemic species. the year 2009-2012 by the different survey parties Member of the superfamily Coreoidea can Zoological Survey of India and deposited in the easily be recognized by having forewings with National Zoological Collection of Z.S.I.

Anatomy of male and female reproductive organs of stink bugs pests (Pentatomidae: Heteroptera) from soybean and rice crops. Biota Neotropica 20(4): e20201045. https://doi.org/10.1590/1676-0611-BN-2020-1045 Abstract: Pentatomidae comprises a diverse group of stink bugs widely distributed in the Neotropical region. Many species are phytophagous and cause injuries to plants, and can thus be defined as agricultural pests. In this study, the anatomy of the female and male reproductive tracts of three important agricultural pests in Colombia is described: Piezodorus guildinii Westwood, 1837 and Chinavia ubica Rolston 1983, found on soybeans, and Oebalus insularis Stål, 1872, found in rice crops. For that, light microscopy techniques were used. The anatomy of the reproductive tract of sexually mature males of the three species studied consisted of a pair of testes, vas deferens, seminal vesicles, ejaculatory bulb, an ejaculatory duct that opens into an aedeagus, and paired accessory glands.

Diagonal 645, 08028 Barcelona, Spain – [email protected] Abstract: A checklist of 43 Heteropteran species collected in the area of influence of Can Coll School of Nature is given. By its rarity in the Catalan fauna, the mirid Deraeocoris (D.) schach (Fabricius, 1781) and the pentatomid Sciocoris (N.) maculatus Fieber, 1851 are interesting species. Plus being rare species, the mirid Macrotylus (A.) solitarius (Meyer-Dür, 1843) and the pentatomid Sciocoris (S.) umbrinus (Wolff, 1804) are new records for the Natural Park. The mirids Alloetomus germanicus Wagner, 1939 and Amblytylus brevicollis Fieber, 1858, and the pentatomid Eysarcoris aeneus (Scopoli, 1763) are new contributions for the Park checklist. The Heteropteran richness of Can Coll suggests them as study group for the environmental education goals of this School of Nature. Key words: Heteroptera, faunistics, new records, environmental education, Serra de Collserola, Catalonia, Iberian Peninsula.
