Location: , Egypt Impact: marine hull exposure Issued by Skytek: 09:00 GMT on 03/25/2021 Summary: The 400m long, 59m breadth and 15.7m containership "Ever Given" is the largest ship to ever run aground in the Suez Canal The incident occurred at 0540 GMT on the 03/23/2021.

Skytek analysed satellite Earth Observation (EO) imagery of the “Ever Given” (captured by Planet) shortly after running aground. The “Ever Given” was being followed in a convoy by “Maersk Denver” and “YM Fountain”.

As of 08:30 GMT on 03/25/2021, the Skytek React system highlighted a slight change in ship’s position and heading, due to push efforts of the surrounding tugs. The ships "ASIA RUBY III", "YM FOUNTAIN" from the convoy which was following the “Ever Given” and were stuck in the Canalhave been towed by tugs back in the southern anchorages. SCA (Suez Cana Authority) may also take the same steps for “Maersk Denver”.
