THE UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS AT EL PASO Study Abroad Office Application for Walking with Wordsworth: Romantic Literature in the Lake District – ENGL 3333/ ENGL 4390 Travel to the English Lake District, birthplace and home of William Wordsworth, and experience the mountains, lakes, cataracts, ancient Druidic ruins, and distinctive Lakeland stone architecture that inspired numerous Romantic-period writers, including William Wordsworth, Samuel Taylor Coleridge, Robert Southey, Anne Radcliffe, John Keats, Walter Scott, and Thomas De Quincey. Walk in the footsteps of these great writers and explore the many connections between the natural beauty of the countryside and the literature of the period.
