PRESS RELEASE 24 March 2019 PRESS RELEASE 24 March 2019 Statement Issued Shri Randeep Singh Surjewala, In-Charge, Communications Hypocrite BJP should practice what they preach! Modi & Jaitley’s ‘Dynasty Diversion’ to Divert from Job Crisis, Rural Distress, Failed Economy! शीश ⴂ के घर ⴂ मᴂ बैठे ल ग पत्थर नही ⴂउछाला करते। ‘Bogus Blogger’ Minister, Shri Arun Jaitley and his incessant rants are being used by the Modi Govt to hide their massive failures on Unemployment, Rural Distress, Mismanagement of Economy, & Persecution of the Weaker Sections. PM Modi & Shri Arun Jaitley cannot hide behind daily blogs on ‘Non-Issues’ in order to hide the ‘Real-Issues’. Latest outburst of Shri Arun Jaitley against the Congress party is an orchestrated ‘PR Gimmick’ & a cheap ‘Cover Up Exercise’ for the colossal failures of the past 5 years. In its 133 year old rich history, Congress party has had 87 Presidents till now and it does not require any certificates of approval from the likes of PM Modi & Shri Arun Jaitley on its contribution to Nation Building. Infact those who destroyed 4.7 Crore Jobs.in last 5 years are preaching instead of introspecting. India does not need any lecture from a party which carries an ideology engrained in a Sectarian Pamphlet called ‘Bunch of Thoughts’ by a bigoted fundamentalist called M S Golwalkar. India does not need any lecture from forces who sided with the British against the Indian people, in the struggle for freedom during the National Movement. India also does not need any lecture from people who pleaded clemency to the British throne as millions sacrificed their lives and spent lifetimes in British jails during the Freedom Movement. India does not need any lecture from people whose ideological forefathers were responsible for assassinating the Father of the Nation – Mahatma Gandhi. India does not need any lecture from a party whose leaders have never sacrificed a drop of blood for the country. Congress party is proud to have been elected by people of India to reshape its destiny for over 5 decades and celebrate the achievements of 130 Cr people of India. Since the BJP is so fond of talking about ‘Dynasty Politics’ – here is a small ‘Mirror of Truth’:- Home Minister, Shri Rajnath Singh’s son Shri Pankaj Singh now an MLA in Uttar Pradesh. Finance Minister, Shri Arun Jaitley’s father-in-law was the Finance Minister of J&K for 14 years. EAM Smt. Sushma Swaraj’s husband Shri Swaraj Kaushal was Governor of Mizoram. RM Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman’s father in law was a Minister in Andhra Pradesh Govt in 1970’s. Railway Minister Shri Piyush Goel’s father was Shri Ved Prakash Goyal was the Union Minister of Shipping in Vajpayee Govt. Cabinet Minister Shri Dharmendra Pradhan is a son of Former Minister in Vajpayee Govt, Shri Debendra Pradhan. MoS Shri Jayant Sinha is the son of Former Union Minister, Shri Yashwant Sinha. Rajasthan Ex CM, Smt. Vasundhara Raje’s son is Shri Dushyant Singh, who is a BJP MP. Chhattisgarh Ex CM, Dr Raman Singh’s son Shri Abhishek Singh, who is a BJP MP. Karnataka Ex CM, Shri B S Yeddyurappa’s son is Shri B. Y. Raghavendra, who is a BJP MP. Himachal Pradesh Ex CM Shri Prem Kumar Dhumal’s son is Shri Anurag Thakur, a BJP MP. Uttar Pradesh Ex CM, Shri Kalyan Singh’s son is Shri Rajbir Singh, who is a BJP MP. Delhi Ex CM, Shri Sahib Singh Verma's son is Shri Parvesh Verma is an MP. Delhi Ex CM, Shri Madan Lal Khurana’s son is Shri Harish Khurana, BJP Spokesperson. Ex Union Minister, Shri Pramod Mahajan’s daughter is Ms Poonam Mahajan, a BJP MP. Ex Union Minister, Shri Gopinath Munde’s daughter is Ms Pankaja Munde, who is a BJP MP. BJP's National General Secretary Kailash Vijayvargiya's son is Akash Vijayvargiya, an MLA in Madhya Pradesh. These are some prominent examples. BJP’s hypocrisy on ‘dynasty politics’ also continues with its choice of allies:- BJP’s oldest ally – Akali Dal is led by Former Punjab CM Shri Prakash Singh Badal, whose son Shri Sukhbir Badal was the deputy CM of Punjab and wife Smt. Harsimrat Badal, a Union Minister in Modi Govt. BJP’s Bihar ally- Lok Jan Shakti Party is led by Union Minister, Shri Ram Vilas Paswan, his son Shri Chirag Paswan is also an MP. BJP’s UP ally- Apna Dal was led by patriarch, Shri Sone Lal Patel, his daughter, Smt. Anupriya Patel is an MoS in the Modi Govt. Family background is not the guarantee for political success. It is the people who have the power to accept and reject in the political arena. It is the people of India who have elected the Congress party time and again and shall vote Congress party again to power in 2019 Lok Sabha elections. 5 State Elections which the BJP lost was just a trailer, people of India shall show them the film on 23rd May 2019. .

March 19, 2021 Shri Jayant Sinha Chairman, Standing committee of finance Member of Parliament [Lok Sabha] India Subject: Request for wider debate on Equalisation Levy Respected Shri Jayant Sinha ji, Our associations are a collection of the world’s most innovative companies, representing every sector of the economy. We are substantial contributors to a vibrant Indian economy. For all of us, India is an essential market in which many of our members are deeply invested, and all of our members are committed to the Government of India’s goal of making India a $5.0 trillion economy by 2025. We write to raise concerns regarding the amendment to India’s Equalisation Levy included in the Government of India’s proposed Finance Bill to the Union Budget 2021-22. As detailed below, the amendment would create significant challenges for all businesses operating in India, further exacerbating the detrimental impact of a measure at odds with India’s ongoing commitment to the multilateral negotiations at the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD)/G20 Inclusive Framework to address the tax challenges arising from the digitalisation of the global economy. The G20 Finance Ministers – including Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman – reiterated as recently as February 26 their support for the Inclusive Framework’s timeline of realising a multilateral, consensus- based agreement by mid-2021. It is in the spirit of support for a multilateral solution that we encourage the Parliament to refrain from adopting the amendment proposed to sections 163-165A of the Finance Act, 2016, which, despite its characterization by the Ministry of Finance as clarifications and an amendment, would fundamentally expand the scope of the Equalisation Levy and generate a range of new compliance questions and concerns.
