Tom's notable Africa transactions include representing Emerging Capital Partners in connection with the landmark private equity fundraise for IHS Holdings, the largest mobile phone tower business in Africa, amounting to USD $3.5 billion, which is the largest single private equity capital raise in the African telecom industry to date, the equity investment in Java House awarded “Private Equity Deal of the Year” by Africa Invest and the sale of Continental Re, Nigeria's largest insurance company.
