Are You a Graduating UMass Undergraduate or Graduate LGBTQIA+ or Ally Student? Be Recognized at Rainbow Graduation!

The ceremony will be held on Thursday, May 3 at 6 p.m. in the Amherst Room of the Campus Center. Graduates who sign up before Friday, April 20 at noon will be recognized with a gift and a rainbow tassel that can be worn at UMass graduation. To participate, please fill out the form here.

The 20th Annual Rainbow Graduation Dinner and LGBTQIA & Ally Recognition Ceremony

A buffet dinner will begin at 6 p.m. Please RSVP to [email protected] by April 15, so that we have a rough count to order catering (partners and family members welcomed). Keynote Speaker and "Continuing the Legacy of Stonewall" Award Recipient: Andrea Jenkins. Andrea Jenkins is a performance artist, poet, and trans activist. She is known for being the first African-American openly trans woman elected to public office in the United States, serving since January 2018 on the Minneapolis City Council.

LGBTQIA+ Student and Staff/Faculty Leadership Awards

At Rainbow Graduation, a UMass Amherst undergraduate or graduate student and a faculty or staff member will be recognized for their outstanding contributions to the LGBTQIA+ and ally communities on campus. Women of Color Leadership Network's "TLC: Relationships, Communication, and Conflict"

Rapid HIV and STI Testing Monday, April 9, 10 a.m. - 1 p.m., UHS Ground Floor

Testing is conducted by University Health Services (UHS). There is typically no cost: most UMass students will have their insurance cover testing (bring your insurance card). STD testing is for gonorrhea and chlamydia (don't urinate for 1-2

"Beyond the Label: Cubicle Event"

During this event, two individuals will be placed in a "cubicle" and challenged to have a conversation with each other. The will receive a list of questions to ask each other to get to know more about the other person in a shorter period of time than they would normally. Facebook event page.

The Student Legal Services Office is accepting applications for their Fall 2018 Legal Assistant Internship program. Students work about 32 hours per week in exchange for academic credit. The internship is open to all undergraduate students. Apply here. The deadline is April 10.
