Press release For immediate publication BENEFIT PRESENTATION: ROCKY MOUNTAIN EXPRESS Integral and Original English Film from Stephen Low Saturday March 31, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. (EXPOCOMF O4A) Saint-Constant, March 2nd, 2011 – Exporail, the Canadian Railway Museum invites the general public to its benefit presentation of the integral and original English version of the film Rocky Mountain Express, from Stephen Low at the Scotiabank - IMAX Theatre in Montreal, Saturday, March 31, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. A French version will take place at 11:30 a.m. Stephen Low, the film's director, will be present at this event. Rocky Mountain Express propels audiences on a steam train journey through the breathtaking vistas of the Canadian Rockies and highlights the adventure of building the nation’s first transcontinental railway. The completion of the Canadian Pacific Railway (CPR) in the Rockies in 1885 ranks among the greatest engineering feats in history. Retracing the original route aboard the majestic steam engine 2816, the audience is transported back to the age of steam to re- live this alpine nation-building odyssey. The film weaves together spectacular IMAX aerial cinematography, breathtaking vistas of the west, archival images and maps and the potent energy and rhythms of a live steam locomotive to immerse audiences in a an era of remarkable ingenuity and struggle and a region of stunning natural beauty. This is the only opportunity to see the film in Montreal area. This Montreal Premiere will take place at the Scotiabank - IMAX Theatre is located at 977 Ste.Catherine Street West, Montreal, near metro Peel.
