School sold to Cambridge naturalists Our purposes are: (Locke, Perring, West) - to preserve the old Schoolhouse on Ceann Ear 1950s - 1970s - to continue its usefulness to fishermen and grazings Peak years of Grimsay fishing: - to make it more accessible, especially to those with family or personal many stay in schoolhouse connections with Heisgeir 1960 - to use it as a base for understanding of the traditional life of Heisgeir North Uist Estate succeeds to and the natural environment. ownership of Heisgeir The building has been made comfortable and secure through repairs in 2004 1966 - 2008.
