Bishops, Priests and Chaplains are guests of the State Council at the Friday Chaplains Dinner, but must register in advance. Territorial Growth Director, PSD Eric Johnson and his wife, Lady Barbara, will represent the Supreme Council at our Convention. They are from Pennsylvania. (1) State Chaplain Rev. Michael (Mick) Kopil will be our principle celebrant for the Opening Convention Mass. The Following Awards will be presented to the Council GK at the Chaplain’s Dinner (subject to winner availability): • Fr. Michael J. McGivney Vocations Award (2) Katherine (Manion) Kelly, Outreach Director, Women’s Care Center, will inspire us during the Opening session. The Following Awards and Recognitions will be presented to Council GK during Saturday Morning Opening session: • Richard Scheiber Membership Award • Francis F. Gallagher Membership Award (3) A Special Olympics Allen County Athlete and SOI CEO, Jeff Mohler, will be our Luncheon speakers. The Following Awards and Recognitions will be presented during the Lunch: • Outstanding Catholic Layperson (4) Following Awards and Recognitions will be presented to Council GK during Saturday Afternoon Council Award session: • Family of the Year • Leave No Neighbor Behind Award (New Supreme Award this Frat. Year) • Pinta Award (FY20-21) State Award • Columbian Award (FY19-20) Supreme Award • Nina Award (FY20-21) State Award • Father McGivney Award (FY19-20) Supreme Award • Founders’ Award (FY19-20) Supreme Award Top 10 Recruiters: • Gibault 5 Star We Care Awards • Top SOS Contributors (FY19-20) • Top Councils donating hours to Special Olympics (Form 4584) • Top Contributors in the Campaign for those with Intellectual Disabilities (3/1/20-2/28/21) • Top Contributors to the Ultrasound Initiative (3/1/20-2/28/21) • Top Contributor to Safe Haven Baby Box (Feb 2020 – Feb 2021) • Top RSVP Contributors • Top Council Blood/Platelet Drives Faith in Action Indiana State Council Knights of Columbus State Convention 9, 10, 11 April 2021 (5) Fort Wayne/South Bend Diocesan Bishop Kevin C. Rhoades will be our principle celebrant for the Memorial Mass and keynote speaker at the State Banquet. The Gibault raffle winners will be drawn at the end of the Banquet. The following awards will be presented at the Banquet (subject to winner availability): • Life Service Program Award • Family Service Program Award • Community Service Program Award • Faith Service Program Award • Outstanding Catholic Youth • Field Agent of the Year • Financial Secretary of the Year ATTIRE FOR MEN: Proper dress for Opening Mass and all business sessions is sport or suit coat, slacks, and dress shirt with or without a tie. Dress for Memorial Mass and formal Banquet is coat and tie. White dinner jacket and black tuxedo pants are encouraged. Fourth Degree members can wear a dark suit or tux with social baldric. ATTIRE FOR LADIES: Proper and modest church attire is required for Opening Mass. Dress/formal wear is appropriate for our Saturday Memorial Mass and Banquet. For the remainder of the convention, business casual attire should be worn. Faith in Action .
