Monday, February 1, 2021, marked the 15th anniversary of Father Phil at St. Theresa's, and he reflected on his time at the parish. He is the longest-serving pastor in our parish history. The reconciliation schedule will remain the same during the closure. Sunday obligation to attend Mass and Holy Days continues to be suspended. In-person gatherings on parish campuses are allowed only for programs of sacramental preparation. This permission for in-person catechetical gatherings does not include adult bible studies, conferences, or special presentations.

“Rising very early before dawn, he left and went off to a deserted place, where he prayed…He told them, ‘Let us go on to the nearby villages that I may preach there also. For this purpose have I come.’” - Mark 1:35, 38 In this Sunday’s Gospel reading we see a perfect example of stewardship. Jesus gives His time to do all that God wishes - healing the sick and preaching. But before He begins, Jesus makes time to be alone with God in prayer. It is through prayer, spending time with God, that we find the strength to do what He wishes us to do. Be sure to find time every day to be with God.

TEXAS CONGREGATIONAL DISASTER READINESS N95 MASK PACKAGE FOR CAREGIVERS OF FAMILY MEMBERS
As COVID 19 continues to gain momentum, we want to help protect the family member who is caring for a loved one. Therefore, we would like to provide N95 masks for the primary caregiver and surgical masks for the COVID-19 sick person recovering in the home. (As long as supplies last.) If you know families in your community who are caring for COVID 19 family members, please help us get these protective masks to them. Step 1: Identify the need and complete the link below for delivery purposes. Please indicate if you would like mask package(s) directly to the caregiver’s address. Click here to complete information for mask package delivery Step 2: Coordinate prompt delivery of the mask package to the caregiver by no contact/doorstep delivery. By your delivering directly to the caregiver, provides you with the opportunity to assist them in additional ways that align with your community outreach or mission. HOUSTON HEALTH DEPARTMENT FIRST DRIVE-THRU COVID-19 VACCINATION SITE OPENING
The Houston Health Department has opened its first drive-thru COVID-19 vaccination site. The standing clinic, located at the Delmar Stadium, is expected to provide 1,000 vaccinations of the COVID-19 Moderna vaccine a day by appointment only. The drive-thru clinic will operate Monday through Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., thanks to the city’s partnership with the Houston United Memorial Medical Center. People with disabilities and senior citizens can set an appointment by phone. Call the Area Agency on Aging 832-393-4301 or the Aging and Disability Resouce Center 832-393-5500 to be put on the COVID-19 vaccine waiting list.
